Venue: Ballymena, Seven Towers Leisure Centre – back car park.
📍Meeting point: The registration, start and finish will be situated in the car park directly behind the Leisure centre. It is accessed from St Patricks Link Road, pass the cinema and park near Tim Hortons. Postcode: BT42 3GA. what3words ///bars.natively.inches
📝 Registration – will be from 6.00 to 6.45pm. Here you will collect a dibber (electronic timing device you put on your finger). All participants must register. Map collection will be at the start.
📣 Briefing and start – There will be an important race briefing for all participants held at 6.45pm.
🟢Start – there will be a punching start immediately after the briefing.
🗺 The course – it will be a 1 hour Score Course, you may come back earlier but no later than the 60 minutes. You choose the order you want to visit the controls, visiting as many as possible and racking up as many points within the time limit. Controls will be worth 10, 20, 30 or 40 points. Points will be deducted for late return – 20 points per minute (or part minute).
⌚Make sure you bring your watch, so you get back in time to avoid the penalties.
👨👩👧👦 All ages and abilities welcome. You may run as an individual or in a pair/small group.
🚑 Safety – please be aware the course will involve road crossings, so for safety and insurance reasons, U16’s are NOT permitted to run unattended, they must be accompanied on the course at all times by a supervising adult. Please adhere to the highway code and give way to all other traffic, vehicles and pedestrians. Roads with purple hatching should only be crossed at the crossing points marked on the map. Pedestrian crossing points will also be marked on other roads for your safety and convenience. You must return to registration and download to ensure we account for all runners at the end of the run.
