Event Description
Come along to Hillsborough Forest Park for the second of this year’s Autumn Trophy events. We’re calling it Autumn Trophy 3 just to confuse everybody! We get to see the recent improvements to this beautiful Forest Park and we also have an extensively updated map thanks to Bill’s mapping skills and the generous financial support of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council.
There is limited parking in the Forest Park because of ongoing work there. If you can’t find a place, please park at Beechlawn School, which is just a little further out the Dromore Rd and a few hundred metres from the Forest Park. This is often used as an overflow car park and you won’t get locked in. Please do not park on Park Rd and don’t squeeze into any ‘non spaces’ in the Forest Park.
Registration is from 11:30 at the Forest Park car park with the first start at 12:00. The Start and Finish are not too far from Registration. The Start closes later than usual but don’t use this as an excuse to come late because the courses close at 15:00.
The toilets in the Fort are closed for refurbishment but there are toilets at the Tourist Information Centre at the top of the town.
We’ve got Yellow (2.1km), Orange (3.3km) and Green (5.2km) courses so there’s something for everybody. Hillsborough is an ideal spot to try orienteering for the first time so please come along if you would like to give it a go.
Entry fees:
Senior, i.e. age 21 and over: £9 (£7 for members)
Unwaged / Student: £7 (£5 for members)
Junior: £4 (£3 for members)
