35th Annual General Meeting Notice, British Orienteering

The 35th Annual General Meeting of the British Orienteering Federation will be held on Friday 25th March 2016 at Leeds University Union, Lifton Place, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS2 9JZ, starting at 5.00pm in meeting room 6. Fixture List Updated

The 2016 fixture list has been updated. Most notably is the change of date for the NI Long Distance Championships & VHI Individual to the 3rd September.  To facilitate this the dates for NICS 4 & 5 have been re-jigged. The provisional date for the Lisburn City Race has been changed to the Sunday 11th September. Fixtures added include VHI relay, Autumn Trophys, NICS 6 and locations for the August WEEs.

Compass and Pacing Challenge

On Saturday before the score race at Crawfordsburn there will be the chance to warm up  by taking part in some compass and pacing practice. This will involve maps with only the control circles and connecting lines left on them. All other detail will have been removed. The challenge will be to stay on the right bearing and pace out the correct distance to find a small kite that will not be very visible from a distance.
