Venue 📍Athletics NI, Mary Peters Track / Barnetts Park
Event Format Club Meet, Coaching and Social. A way to improve your orienteering skills in a social way without the pressure of competition. Taking place every 2nd Saturday of the month (except July, August and December), club coaches put on sessions for orienteers, no matter your age or level. Everyone is welcome!

Start Times Arrive 10am for registration. Coaching takes place 10.45am to 12.15pm.

Control gathering 12.15pm to 12.45pm. Social of shared packed lunch takes place afterwards 12.45pm to 2pm.

Price 💰 Club Meets are FREE for members of LVO, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland as well as O-Play and TD1/2 Juniors.

Non-members are also welcome to attend any of our activities and events but there is a £5 fee per person for this activity. After attending three orienteering events, people must join a club so they are insured.

Notes/Courses 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Groups will be organised into people with the same level of ability, each having a dedicated coach. expected three groups – Juniors, less physical adults, more physical adults.

Carousel of activities:

🧘‍♀️Pilates – indoor session. Professional instruction focusing on core strength training. There will be differentiated exercises for all abilities.

⛰️ Hill training – exercises and techniques to help our climbing and descending technique.

🏃‍♀️ Training courses – 3 courses to choose from to practice your skills and work on you fitness.

Kit requirements 🧥👖 Clothing and Kit

Inside – comfortable clothing. no shoes required. If you have one, please bring along a yoga mat. 

Outside – Full body cover is mandatory. If the weather is cold or wet – a waterproof jacket will be mandatory. As well as times of exercise there will be periods of coaching when you will be stationary, so layer up – bring along a hat and gloves to keep comfortable. There is likely to be a bag drop off point with a coach present or close by. NOTE: the club or coach is not responsible for the safe keeping of the kit, it is dropped off at your own risk, so please leave any valuables in the car. All should carry whistles. Bring a compass if you use and have one. Some base plate and thumb compasses will be available to borrow and try out. Dibbers are not required.
