A great WEE sunny start to the summer series!
Yesterday evening saw the start of the WEE (Wednesday Evening Events) at Ormeau Park.
Over 60 of us enjoyed running around in the great weather.
Well done to first time planner Mark Hopkins who prepared the courses for us to enjoy – they were very well received by everyone who took part.
Thanks also to all club volunteers – Coordinator Cecil, Mark Earnshaw & Fred Hamond on starts, Olivia Baxter on IT, Paul Daniels & Brian Crothers on control collection and not forgetting map printer Alan Gartside.
Results are now up on the website, including the handicap monthly ranking – your best 3 out of the 4 runs each will count towards each monthly series.
In the long course it is great to see good competition between the genders and ages. The early leaders on the Long course are Lyle Fleming M60, Helen Baxter W70 and James Ewart M16. On the Short course the top three positions are held by Jennifer Dawson W10, Sarah Ritchie W10 and Benjamin Johnston M12.
