WEE 6 Antrim Castle Gardens Report and June League Results/Standings

Well done everyone who ignored the poor forecast and took part in a great evenings fun running around Antrim Castle Gardens. Thankfully, during most of the event, the rain stayed away, with only poor Simon (who set out the controls before the event), a few late starters and the lovely control collectors who got caught out in a lough side thunderstorm. It will take more than that to put you hardy lot off πŸŒ§πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸŒ§πŸ’ͺ

πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ There were an amazing 92 participants in total who took part, 45 of whom were juniors, with a good number local(ish) school children from Ballymena Academy, Dunclug College and Cambridge House Grammar School and Carrickfergus Grammar (thank you James Maxwell for bringing a minibus load of your young people from Carrick). It is great to see such a mixed group of people enjoying our sport. Can we hit 100 participants next week❗

πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Special thanks go to planner Simon Gardiner and organiser Sarah Gamble. Other super volunteers who made the event a success were, Sharon Dickenson, Ric Gamble and Matthew Vasey on computers, Henry Montgomery, Peter Gamble, Paul Daniels and Richard Hetherington on starts and other bits and bobs, Alan Gartside for printing the maps and Colin Smith for delivering them, Mark Pruzina and Geoffrey Collins with online registration for other techy background stuff, for the soggy control collectors and others who offered a hand!
