🎄Happy Christmas🎄

🎅On behalf of the LVO committee, I would like to wish all LVO members a very happy and healthy Christmas.

👏 Considering the year we have had, the club has done an amazing job to host so many events and activities, I counted 31 since we were allowed to start back in May! This does not even count the junior coaching and activities organised with local authorities and other partners. What an incredible achievement and one to proud of. Thanks to all the volunteers who have helped, especially those who help plan and organise events and of course the committee and others whose work is often not seen – thank you!

📅This coming year we already have 13 events planned and on the NIOA calendar, including hosting the Junior Inter Regional Champs (JIRCs) in September. This will be an exciting event when we will welcome squads from all 12 regions of the UK. Lots to do and look forward to!

🏆The first four activities planned for 2022 will be score training, helping us keep are eye in and preparing us for the NI Score Champs on Sat 19 February. The NI Night Champs will also be held later that evening. So, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you have renewed your annual membership before then!

👀Looking for a few ideas for the New Year?

🌳Are you enjoying park orienteering and gaining confidence? – Why not take part in a NI Colour Series or Championship event – there are always courses for all levels of ability 🤍💛🧡💚💙🤎.

🐉Fancy an adventure outside NI? – Join lots of other club members travelling to the JK festival of Orienteering in South Wales this Easter.

💡Wondering how to develop the club in different ways – why not register onto an online session on the British Orienteering Development Conference session this January.

🤜🤛Are you a team player? – Maybe this year you can help more through volunteering!

👩🏽‍🤝‍👩🏼Just because we are still social distancing, doesn’t mean we can’t connect – Invite a friend along to an event. If you love orienteering, why wouldn’t they!

🍾Best wishes for the New Year, let’s hope make it a good one!

Take care,

Ric
