Rescue and Emergency Care Training – Saturday 20 March
Congratulations to the eight LVO club members who attended and passed their Rescue and Emergency Care First Aid training on Saturday.
Also joined by two Fermo and two NWOC club members, this is the first class of LVO members to go through formal First Aid training for a few years. Many of our first aid qualifications expired during lockdown and it was challenging to arrange training – so big thanks to Raymond Shannon for providing a very professional, Covid safe, days training. With the return to Orienteering competition expected soon, we are again sufficiently covered to plan and organise events safely.
This first class was oversubscribed, showing much interest from club members in this area. The qualification is valid for three years but it is our intention to roll out further First Aid training over the coming months/year; this will not only provide greater First Aid cover in future events but also ensure expiry dates are staggered.
