Orienteering Suspended!

COVID19 Update – All Orienteering Activities Suspended with immediate effect

Please read this important notice from British Orienteering.

It is with great sadness that we are now in a position where all orienteering activities in the UK have to be suspended with immediate effect.

We are aware that the Coranvirus outbreak is a very fluid and rapidly changing situation. We all, therefore, continue to follow advice from the Public Health England, the World Health Organisation and both local and national governments on this matter and will keep the orienteering community updated as appropriate.

We know how great the sport is at supporting each other and we ask that you continue to pull together (albeit virtually) during this difficult time.  We will do our best to get you back into the forests as soon as it is safe to do so.

Finally, we ask that you continue to follow the government’s guidance on how to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.  Please stay safe and support each other during this hard time.

  1. Hi Denise, apologies for the late reply, only spotted this. The powers that be are discussing the Seven Sevens and an update will be posted in due course – both on our dedicated webpage and our Facebook page. Keep your eyes peeled! I don’t know about you but I cannot WAIT to get back into the mountains, especially with this amazing sunny weather. Till then, we’ll all stay (im)patiently away.

  2. What about the seven sevens challenge? I know it is not until August but am mindful we have to apply to take part in April.
