DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nDate\nWednesday 25 November\n\n\nVenue\n📍TBC\n\n\nEven
 t Format\nWENTs (Wednesday Evening Night Training) are mid-weekly training
  sessions held during the colder\, darker months of November and December\
 , and are open to both club members and those new to orienteering. Feel fr
 ee to run individually or in a pair/group. Anyone who is not so confident 
 about running alone\, please request a buddy at the briefing. Coach advice
 /support available. Juniors welcome\, but those under 16 MUST be accompani
 ed by an adult.\n\nThis is a MapRun activity. Before you leave home you MU
 ST have MapRun app installed on your smartphone and to have the file downl
 oaded.\n\nThe map file is now available to download on the MapRun App. Go 
 to folders UK &gt\;Northern Ireland &gt\; TBC\n\nIf you select "Go to Star
 t" you will be asked for the PIN code. Once you are at this stage you are 
 all set. The PIN code will be provided on the night\, just before we start
 . The PIN will not be required after the event starts.\n\nTo find out abou

 at midnight on the Monday before the event to allow for printing.\n\n\nTim

 WENTs are free for members of LVO\, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland. Non-mem
 bers are also welcome to attend any of our activities and events but there
  is a £5 fee for this activity.\n\n\nTerrain Summary\nUrban\, mainly stre
 et\, hard surface running with some grassy areas.\n\n\nPrevious Maps/Route
 gadget\nTBC\n\n\nNotes/Courses\nThis will be a score course.\n\nWe want to
  ensure our events are as fun and safe as possible for all participants. A
 lthough injury and ‘stranger danger’ incidents are rare we must keep v
 igilant and it is important to remind you of how you can help prevent inci
 dents and keep safe. Please follow the instructions given at the briefing 
 and follow the following advice:\n\n 	U16s to be accompanied by an adult 
 for the duration of the activity\n 	Return to download and register your r
 eturn after 45 minutes\, even if you have not completed your course.\n 	Th
 ere will be first aid available at the Start/finish.\n 	Traffic – be par
 ticularly careful crossing access roads and around the car parks. There ar
 e also bike trails – give way to all traffic and other users.\n 	Please 
 avoid shining your torch directly at cars and pedestrians.\n 	Terrain – 
 the ground is slippery with steep slopes\, so wear trainers with good grip
  and bring spare clothing to change into afterwards if needs be.\n 	Strang
 er danger – If in the unlikely event that you are approached by a strang
 er with ill intent\, call out and blast your whistle. Please report all in
 cidents and concerns to the organiser.\n 	Safeguarding – it is everyone
 ’s responsibility to ensure participants are and feel safe. If you have

 ident Reporting Form.\n\n\n\n\nKit requirements\n\n\n 	Smart phone/watch w
 ith MapRun app installed.\n 	Whistles are mandatory – use in case of eme
 rgency – 6 short loud blasts every minute until help arrives. There is a
  duty of care on all participants to stop and help and get further help. Y
 ou may also wish to carry a mobile phone.\n 	Carry all necessary personal 
 medication where appropriate (inhaler\, EpiPen).\n 	Ensure your head torch
  has good battery power – let us know beforehand if you need to borrow 
 one.\n 	Dibber – not required.\n 	Compass - let us know if you need to b
 orrow one.\n 	Wear bright/hi-viz clothing – this helps you be seen by ot
 her participants\, road users and a deterrent to anyone who may wish to ca
 use harm.\n 	Please come appropriately dressed for the conditions.\n 	If t
 he forecast is cold/wet a waterproof jacket is mandatory. If cold\, layer
