DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nDate\nWednesday 4 November\n\n\nVenue\n📍TBC\n\n\nEvent
  Format\nWENTs (Wednesday Evening Night Training) are mid-weekly training 
 sessions held during the colder\, darker months of November and December\,
  and are open to both club members and those new to orienteering. Feel fre
 e to run individually or in a pair/group. Anyone who is not so confident a
 bout running alone\, please request a buddy at the briefing. Coach advice/
 support available. Juniors welcome\, but those under 16 MUST be accompanie
 d by an adult.\n\nThis is a MapRun activity. Before you leave home you MUS
 T have MapRun app installed on your smartphone and to have the file downlo
 aded.\n\nThe map file is now available to download on the MapRun App. Go t
 o folders UK &gt\;Northern Ireland &gt\; TBC\n\nIf you select "Go to Start
 " you will be asked for the PIN code. Once you are at this stage you are a
 ll set. The PIN code will be provided on the night\, just before we start.
  The PIN will not be required after the event starts.\n\nTo find out about

  midnight on the Monday before the event to allow for printing.\n\n\nTimin

 NTs are free for members of LVO\, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland. Non-membe
 rs are also welcome to attend any of our activities and events but there i
 s a £5 fee for this activity.\n\n\nTerrain Summary\nUrban\, mainly street
 \, hard surface running with some grassy areas.\n\n\nPrevious Maps/Routega
 dget\nTBC\n\n\nNotes/Courses\nThis will be a score course.\n\nWe want to e
 nsure our events are as fun and safe as possible for all participants. Alt
 hough injury and ‘stranger danger’ incidents are rare we must keep vig
 ilant and it is important to remind you of how you can help prevent incide
 nts and keep safe. Please follow the instructions given at the briefing an
 d follow the following advice:\n\n 	U16s to be accompanied by an adult fo
 r the duration of the activity\n 	Return to download and register your ret
 urn after 45 minutes\, even if you have not completed your course.\n 	Ther
 e will be first aid available at the Start/finish.\n 	Traffic – be parti
 cularly careful crossing access roads and around the car parks. There are 
 also bike trails – give way to all traffic and other users.\n 	Please av
 oid shining your torch directly at cars and pedestrians.\n 	Terrain – th
 e ground is slippery with steep slopes\, so wear trainers with good grip a
 nd bring spare clothing to change into afterwards if needs be.\n 	Stranger
  danger – If in the unlikely event that you are approached by a stranger
  with ill intent\, call out and blast your whistle. Please report all inci
 dents and concerns to the organiser.\n 	Safeguarding – it is everyone’
 s responsibility to ensure participants are and feel safe. If you have a c

 nt Reporting Form.\n\n\n\n\nKit requirements\n\n\n 	Smart phone/watch with
  MapRun app installed.\n 	Whistles are mandatory – use in case of emerge
 ncy – 6 short loud blasts every minute until help arrives. There is a du
 ty of care on all participants to stop and help and get further help. You 
 may also wish to carry a mobile phone.\n 	Carry all necessary personal med
 ication where appropriate (inhaler\, EpiPen).\n 	Ensure your head torch ha
 s good battery power – let us know beforehand if you need to borrow one
 .\n 	Dibber – not required.\n 	Compass - let us know if you need to borr
 ow one.\n 	Wear bright/hi-viz clothing – this helps you be seen by other
  participants\, road users and a deterrent to anyone who may wish to cause
  harm.\n 	Please come appropriately dressed for the conditions.\n 	If the 
 forecast is cold/wet a waterproof jacket is mandatory. If cold\, layer up
