 on Park\n\n\nEvent Format\nWednesday Evening Night Training is a mid-weekl
 y informal and fun session during the colder\, darker months of November a
 nd December.\n\nThey are open to both club members and those new to orient
 eering.\n\nCoach advice/support available. Juniors welcome but would advis
 e younger juniors are accompanied by an adult.\n\n\nEntry/Registration\nCl

 ember 2025\n\nFor all WENTs\, entries close at midnight on the Monday befo
 re the event to allow for printing.\n\n\nStart Times\nBe warmed up and rea
 dy to start at 7.30pm. Finish about 8.30pm.\n\n\nPrice\n💰 WENTs are fre
 e for members of LVO\, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland. Non-members are also
  welcome to attend any of our activities and events but there is a £5 fee

  and whistle mandatory.\n\nHead torch – let us know beforehand if you ne

 t Event Safety Advice: \n\nWe want to ensure our events are as fun and sa
 fe as possible for all participants. Although injury and ‘stranger dange
 r’ incidents are rare we must keep vigilant and it is important to remin
 d you of how you can help prevent incidents and keep safe. Please follow t
 he instructions given at the briefing and follow the following advice:\n\
 n 	U16s to be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the activity\n 	
 Whistles are mandatory – use in case of emergency – 6 short loud blast
 s every minute until help arrives. There is a duty of care on all particip
 ants to stop and help and get further help. You may also wish to carry a m
 obile phone.\n 	Carry all necessary personal medication where appropriate 
 (inhaler\, EpiPen).\n 	Ensure your head torch has good battery power. \n 	
 Wear bright/hi-viz clothing – this helps you be seen by other participan
 ts\, park users and a deterrent to anyone who may wish to cause harm.\n 	T
 he forecast is cold/wet a waterproof jacket is mandatory\, also bring a ha
 t and gloves.\n 	Return to download and register your return after 45 minu
 tes\, even if you have not completed your course.\n 	There will be first a
 id available at the Start/finish.\n 	Traffic – be particularly careful c
 rossing access roads and around the car parks. There are also bike trails 
 - give way to all traffic and other users.\n 	Please avoid shining your to
 rch directly at cars and pedestrians.\n 	Terrain - the ground is slippery 
 with steep slopes\, so wear trainers with good grip and bring spare clothi
 ng to change into afterwards if needs be.\n 	Stranger danger - If in the u
 nlikely event that you are approached by a stranger with ill intent\, call
  out and blast your whistle. Please report all incidents and concerns to t
 he organiser.\n 	Safeguarding - it is everyone's responsibility to ensure
