want to ensure our events are as fun and safe as possible for all particip

keep vigilant and it is important to remind you of how you can help preve
nt incidents and keep safe. Please follow the instructions given at the br
iefing and follow the following advice:\n\n U16s to be accompanied by an
adult for the duration of the activity\n Whistles are mandatory – use
in case of emergency – 6 short loud blasts every minute until help arriv
es. There is a duty of care on all participants to stop and help and get f
urther help. You may also wish to carry a mobile phone.\n Carry all neces
sary personal medication where appropriate (inhaler\, EpiPen).\n Ensure y
our head torch has good battery power. \n Wear bright/hi-viz clothing –
this helps you be seen by other participants\, park users and a deterrent
to anyone who may wish to cause harm.\n The forecast is cold/wet a water
proof jacket is mandatory\, also bring a hat and gloves.\n Return to down
load and register your return after 45 minutes\, even if you have not comp
leted your course.\n There will be first aid available at the Start/finis
h.\n Traffic – be particularly careful crossing access roads and around
the car parks. There are also bike trails - give way to all traffic and o
ther users.\n Please avoid shining your torch directly at cars and pedest
rians.\n Terrain - the ground is slippery with steep slopes\, so wear tra
iners with good grip and bring spare clothing to change into afterwards if
needs be.\n Stranger danger - If in the unlikely event that you are appr
oached by a stranger with ill intent\, call out and blast your whistle. Pl
ease report all incidents and concerns to the organiser.\n Safeguarding -
it is everyone's responsibility to ensure participants are and feel safe.

ng safeguarding officer\, Chloe Reed can be contacted on: 07720 204216 sa
