SUMMARY:WENT 6 - Lisburn MapRun
DESCRIPTION:We are back again for the third and final outing in Lisburn for
  a Wednesday Evening Night Training (WENT) activity - the final MapRun Sco
 re event of the Series. There will be no overlap of terrain from the first
  two outings\, although a slight overlap from the recent urban league race
 .\n\nEntry:A good quantity of maps are printed.If you give notice to Steph
 en Gilmore you have priority for a printed map\, by a message on LVO Faceb
 ook page or email\, secretary@niorienteering.org.uk. If we run out of pape
 r maps\, the map on the phone is also available.\n\nCost: Free for club me
 mbers. £3 for non-members (exact change please!)\n\nMeet: 7.15pm at Groun
 d Coffee (TK Maxx) carpark\, Lagan Bank Road\, Lisburn\, BT27 4TQ for a 7.
 30pm sharp start.There will be a short walk to the start\, so please assem
 ble by 7.15pm.\n\nGround Coffee stays open until 9pm\, with last orders a
 t 8.45pm.\n\nBring: Phone with MapRun6 app installed with phone carrier or
  zip pocket (or Garmin watch with MapRunG). Make sure they are fully charg
 ed. The phone can be put into airplane mode once the course is downloaded.
  The course "Lisburn WENT SouthWest..." is available in the app in the fol
 der UK&gt\;Northern Ireland&gt\;Co Antrim\, but will be PIN proteted until
  8.00pm. The PIN will be announced at the start. There are some useful vid
 eos on Facebook explaining how to use MapRun6 and MapRunG. Aslo remember a
  Head torch\, Bright/reflective clothing appropriate for weather - warm a
 nd waterproof if necessary\, a whistle\, a compass and a watch and some ch
 ange or a card for a tea\, coffee or hot chocolate in Ground afterwards.\n
 \nSafety: For safety and insurance reasons\, Juniors under 16 are not allo
 wed to participate in MapRun Urban courses unless accompanied by an adult.
  Singnalled crossings on busy roads are marked with a purple crossing poin
 t symbol and should be used. Terrain will be 90+% paved\, so training shoe
 s with a good grip are recommended.\n\nNext Week: The final remaining WENT
  in the Series is:\n\n14 Dec Lady Dixon Training. Expect some incompetent 
 elves to mess something up! It happens every year\, but they get something
  different wrong every time. Rather like orienterring perhaps?
