  Park\n\n\nEvent Format\nWednesday Evening Night Training is a mid-weekly 
 informal and fun session during the colder\, darker months of November and
  December.\n\nThey are open to both club members and those new to orientee
 ring.\n\nCoach advice/support available. Juniors welcome but would advise 
 younger juniors are accompanied by an adult.\n\n\nEntry/Registration\nClic

 ember 2025\n\nFor all WENTs\, entries close at midnight on the Monday befo
 re the event to allow for printing.\n\n\nStart Times\nBe warmed up and rea
 dy to start at 7.30pm. Finish about 8.30pm.\n\n\nPrice\n💰 WENTs are fre
 e for members of LVO\, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland. Non-members are also
  welcome to attend any of our activities and events but there is a £5 fee

 rses/activities available to practice night navigation: an easier one for 
 novice navigators and a more challenging activity suitable for more experi
 enced orienteers.\n\n\nKit requirements\n🧥👖 Hi-Viz clothing if possi
 ble. Waterproof jacket\, full body cover and whistle mandatory.\n\nHead to

 oad. 2.3 miles.\n\n\n\nPersonal Night Event Safety Advice: \n\nWe want to
  ensure our events are as fun and safe as possible for all participants. A
 lthough injury and ‘stranger danger’ incidents are rare we must keep v
 igilant and it is important to remind you of how you can help prevent inci
 dents and keep safe. Please follow the instructions given at the briefing 
 and follow the following advice:\n\n 	U16s to be accompanied by an adult 
 for the duration of the activity\n 	Whistles are mandatory – use in case
  of emergency – 6 short loud blasts every minute until help arrives. The
 re is a duty of care on all participants to stop and help and get further 
 help. You may also wish to carry a mobile phone.\n 	Carry all necessary pe
 rsonal medication where appropriate (inhaler\, EpiPen).\n 	Ensure your hea
 d torch has good battery power. \n 	Wear bright/hi-viz clothing – this h
 elps you be seen by other participants\, park users and a deterrent to any
 one who may wish to cause harm.\n 	The forecast is cold/wet a waterproof j
 acket is mandatory\, also bring a hat and gloves.\n 	Return to download an
 d register your return after 45 minutes\, even if you have not completed y
 our course.\n 	There will be first aid available at the Start/finish.\n 	T
 raffic – be particularly careful crossing access roads and around the ca
 r parks. There are also bike trails - give way to all traffic and other us
 ers.\n 	Please avoid shining your torch directly at cars and pedestrians.\
 n 	Terrain - the ground is slippery with steep slopes\, so wear trainers w
 ith good grip and bring spare clothing to change into afterwards if needs 
 be.\n 	Stranger danger - If in the unlikely event that you are approached 
 by a stranger with ill intent\, call out and blast your whistle. Please re
