 \n\nEvent Format\nWEE Lites are slimmed down versions of the Wednesday Eve
 ning Event (WEE) Series held in May and June. You get the same quality cou
 rses and a print out of your time and splits but without online results an
 d a league table.\n\nThese activities are a great introduction if you are 
 new to the sport\, or a valuable training opportunity if you are already a
  dab hand. For those who thrive on competition we also have something for 
 you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening there will be two 
 courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximately 2km in leng
 th and has relatively simple navigation. This is really well suited to chi
 ldren and family groups who are out for an explore. It is also popular wit
 h seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n\nThe Long Cour
 se is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is more challengin
 g. It is best suited for runners looking for more adventure and best suite
 d to adults or juniors with navigational experience.\n\n\nOnline Registrat

 \n7pm\, Tuesday 4 August 2026.\n\nEntries can be made on the day if maps a
 re available and at the cost of a non-member price.\n\n\nRegistration\, St
 art and Finish\nRegistration: 6.15pm - 7.15pm. Registration will now be a 
 short walk from the car park. Come here if you need to borrow any equipmen
 t e.g. a dibber (electronic timing device).\n\nStarts: 6.30pm - 7.30pm. St
 art will be near registration. Everyone should visit registration before a
 nd after their run. \n\nCourse Closed: 8.30pm. Finish is close to registra

 *A family charge is for two seniors and one junior. Additional juniors go 
 free.\n\nIf you're a member of a NIOA club\, you can bring non-orienteerin

 in April 2026). Remember\, they can only have one free entry within the W
 EE series. If they like the event and want to come back for more\, they ca
 n join our club and pay membership rates\, or pay as a non-member next tim
 e.\n\nPlease note: Participants who are not members of British Orienteerin
 g or of another orienteering federation are not covered by British Oriente
 ering’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter this event\
 , but please understand that you are taking part at your own risk. For exa
 mple\, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage
  property during the event\, you would not be covered. Members of Orientee
 ring Ireland are covered by British Orienteering insurance. \n\n\nTerrain
  Summary\nParkland\n\n\nPrevious Maps/Routegadget\nMount Stewart was last 
 used in August 2025 for a WEE series event: 2025-08-20 WEE25-11 Mount Stew
 art\n\n\nCourse Notes\nLong Course – approx 4km\n\nShort Course – appr
 ox 2km\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nWatch out for other park users.\n\nThere
  will be a first aid and a qualified first aider available at registration
 . Registration is also a safe place for children to wait.\n\nPlease do not
  come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and carry any medica
 tion you might need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come a
 cross an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further help. 
 There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop to 
 provide support.\n\nAll participants must return to download\, whether the
 y complete the course or not. This is to account for all competitors\, ens
 uring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and controls collect
 ed in at 8.30pm sharp. If you are still out on the course at this time ret
 urn to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nFull leg co
 ver is recommended to protect against summer growth of briers and nettles.
 \n\nA waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organisers decide the
  weather requires one\, so bring one along just in case.\n\nDogs are permi
 tted in the carpark and on the course\, however common sense control of do
 gs applies.\n\n\nParking\nThe parking can be found at the main car park.\n
