 n\n\nEvent Format\nWEE Lites are slimmed down versions of the Wednesday Ev
 ening Event (WEE) Series held in May and June. You get the same quality co
 urses and a print out of your time and splits but without online results a
 nd a league table.\n\nThese activities are a great introduction if you are
  new to the sport\, or a valuable training opportunity if you are already 
 a dab hand. For those who thrive on competition we also have something for
  you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening there will be two
  courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximately 2km in len
 gth and has relatively simple navigation. This is really well suited to ch
 ildren and family groups who are out for an explore. It is also popular wi
 th seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n\nThe Long Cou
 rse is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is more challengi
 ng. It is best suited for runners looking for more adventure and best suit
 ed to adults or juniors with navigational experience.\n\n\nOnline Entry\n.

  6.15pm - 7.15pm. Registration will be near the car park. Come here if you
  need to borrow any equipment e.g. a dibber (electronic timing device).\n\
 nStarts: 6.30pm - 7.30pm. Start will be a short walk from registration. If
  you have registered online and do not need any equipment\, please go dire
 ctly to the start lane.\n\nCourse Closed: 8.30pm. Finish is close to regis

 n\n**A family charge is for two seniors and one junior. Additional juniors
  go free.\n\nIf you're a member of a NIOA club\, you can bring non-oriente
 ering friends for free. Fill in the form for one free entry (Will be relea
 sed in April 2026). Remember\, they can only have one free entry within t
 he WEE series. If they like the event and want to come back for more\, the
 y can join our club and pay membership rates\, or pay as a non-member next
  time.\n\nPlease note: Participants who are not members of British Oriente
 ering or of another orienteering federation are not covered by British Ori
 enteering’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter this ev
 ent\, but please understand that you are taking part at your own risk. For
  example\, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or da
 mage property during the event\, you would not be covered. Members of Orie
 nteering Ireland are covered by British Orienteering insurance. \n\n\nTer

 ast used in August 2025 for a WEE series event: 2025-08-20 WEE25-11 Mount 
 Stewart\n\n\nCourse Notes\nLong Course – approx 4km\n\nShort Course – 
 approx 2km\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nWatch out for other park users.\n\nT
 here will be a first aid and a qualified first aider available at registra
 tion. Registration is also a safe place for children to wait.\n\nPlease do
  not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and carry any me
 dication you might need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you co
 me across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further he
 lp. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop
  to provide support.\n\nAll participants must return to download\, whether
  they complete the course or not. This is to account for all competitors\,
  ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and controls col
 lected in at 8.30pm sharp. If you are still out on the course at this time
  return to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nFull le
 g cover is recommended to protect against summer growth of briers and nett
 les.\n\nA waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organisers decide
  the weather requires one\, so bring one along just in case.\n\nDogs are p
 ermitted in the carpark and on the course\, however common sense control o
 f dogs applies.\n\n\nParking\nThe parking can be found at the main car par
