 angor\n\n\nEvent Format\nWEE Lites are slimmed down versions of the WWedne
 sday Evening Event (WEE) Series held in May and June. You get the same qua
 lity courses and a print out of your time and splits but without online re
 sults and a league table.\n\nThese activities are a great introduction if 
 you are new to the sport\, or a valuable training opportunity if you are a
 lready a dab hand. For those who thrive on competition we also have someth
 ing for you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening there will
  be two courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximately 2km
  in length and has relatively simple navigation. This is really well suite
 d to children and family groups who are out for an explore. It is also pop
 ular with seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n\nThe L
 ong Course is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is more ch
 allenging. It is best suited for runners looking for more adventure and be
 st suited to adults or juniors with navigational experience.\n\n\nOnline E

 ration: 6.15pm - 7.15pm. Registration will near the car park. Come here if
  you need to borrow any equipment e.g. a dibber (electronic timing device)
 .\n\nStarts: 6.30pm - 7.30pm. Start will be a short walk from registration
 . If you have registered online and do not need any equipment\, please go

 uniors go free.\n\nIf you're a member of a NIOA club\, you can bring non-o

  released in April 2026). Remember\, they can only have one free entry wi
 thin the WEE series. If they like the event and want to come back for more
 \, they can join our club and pay membership rates\, or pay as a non-membe
 r next time.\n\nPlease note: Participants who are not members of British O
 rienteering or of another orienteering federation are not covered by Briti
 sh Orienteering’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter t
 his event\, but please understand that you are taking part at your own ris
 k. For example\, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public
  or damage property during the event\, you would not be covered. Members o
 f Orienteering Ireland are covered by British Orienteering insurance. \n\
 n\nTerrain Summary\nParkland\n\n\nPrevious Maps/Routegadget\nThis is a new
  map and area to explore!\n\n\nCourse Notes\nLong Course – approx 4km\n\
 nShort Course – approx 2km\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nWatch out for othe
 r park users.\n\nThere will be a first aid and a qualified first aider ava
 ilable at registration. Registration is also a safe place for children to 
 wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease brin
 g and carry any medication you might need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen
 ’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help 
 and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the c
 ourse who can stop to provide support.\n\nAll participants must return to 
 download\, whether they complete the course or not. This is to account for
  all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will clos
 e and controls collected in at 8.30pm sharp. If you are still out on the c
 ourse at this time return to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit req
 uirements\nFull leg cover is recommended to protect against summer growth 
 of briers and nettles.\n\nA waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the
  organisers decide the weather requires one\, so bring one along just in c
 ase.\n\nDogs are permitted in the carpark and on the course\, however comm
