For those who thrive on competition we also have something for you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening ther e will be two courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximate ly 2km in length and has relatively simple navigation. This is really well suited to children and family groups who are out for an explore. It is al so popular with seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n\ nThe Long Course is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is m ore challenging. It is best suited for runners looking for more adventure and best suited to adults or juniors with navigational experience.\n\nCoac hing available - if you are new\, don't worry\, there will be experienced coaches/officials at registration to welcome newcomers\, explain the activ ity and give some coaching tips. If you feel you or your child would like more support than this\, there may be some coaches available to 'shadow' y ou round the course. Come here if you need to borrow an y equipment e.g. a dibber (electronic timing device).\n\nStarts: 6.30pm - 7.30pm. Start will be a short walk from registration. If you have register ed online and do not need any equipment\, please go directly to the start lane.\n\nCourse Closed: 8.30pm. You are welcome to enter this event\, but please u nderstand that you are taking part at your own risk. For example\, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property duri ng the event\, you would not be covered. Reg istration is also a safe place for children to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and carry any medication you might need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop to provi de support.\n\nAll participants must return to download\, whether they com plete the course or not. This is to account for all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and controls collected in at 8.30pm sharp. If you are still out on the course at this time return t o finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nFull leg cover i s recommended to protect against summer growth of briers and nettles.\n\nA waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organisers decide the weat her requires one\, so bring one along just in case.\n\nDogs are permitted in the carpark and on the course\, however common sense control of dogs ap plies.\n\n\nParking\nEnter the grounds via Massey Avenue and follow signag e to the Visitors car park\, past the main Parliament Building and on the left.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNeed a ride to the event?
