  course 3.9km\, Short course 2.0km\nSAFETY\nClothing: Full body cover is r
 ecommended to protect against summer growth of briers and nettles. The pla
 nner also recommends grippy shoes.\nCourses have been devised to avoid he
 avy undergrowth\, so if you encounter it\, go another way!\nHazards: Take 
 care if crossing roads and car parks.\nPlease avoid MTB paths and if you f
 ind yourself on or crossing one\, be very aware of cyclists who may approa
 ch without warning.\nPlease respect other park users.\nDOGS\nDogs are perm
 itted in the carpark and on the course\, however common sense control of d
 ogs applies.\nRESULTS\n\n\nAs well as the usual simple\, winsplits and rou
 tegadget results\, the 2024 WEE series will have two styles of handicap re
 sults published.\nThe first style revives the handicap system used in the 
 past for the WEEs – a handicap which aims to put competitors on a level 
 playing field for age and gender.\nThe second style is an innovative handi
 cap system designed by Alan Gartside which\, additionally\, accounts for c
 ompetitors who may have a long-term injury preventing them from travelling
  as fast as they otherwise could. This system is called hCOW.
