For thos e who thrive on competition we also have something for you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening there will be two courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximately 2km in length and has relative ly simple navigation. This is really well suited to children and family gr oups who are out for an explore. It is also popular with seasoned orientee rs who do not want too physical a run.\n\nThe Long Course is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is more challenging. It is best suite d for runners looking for more adventure and best suited to adults or juni ors with navigational experience.\n\nCoaching available - if you are new\, don't worry\, there will be experienced coaches/officials at registration to welcome newcomers\, explain the activity and give some coaching tips. If you feel you or your child would like more support than this\, there ma y be some coaches available to 'shadow' you round the course. Come here if you need to borrow any equipment e.g. a dibber (elec tronic timing device).\n\nStarts: 6.30pm - 7.30pm. Start will be a short w alk from the car park. If they like the event and want to come back for more\, they can join our club and pay membership rates\, or pay as a non-member next time.\n\nPlease note: Participants who are not m embers of British Orienteering or of another orienteering federation are n ot covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter this event\, but please understand that you are taking p art at your own risk. For example\, if you were to accidentally injure a m ember of the public or damage property during the event\, you would not be covered. Registration is also a safe place for children to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\ nPlease bring and carry any medication you might need\, especially inhaler s and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aid ers on the course who can stop to provide support.\n\nAll participants mus t return to download\, whether they complete the course or not. This is to account for all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCours es will close and controls collected in at 8.30pm sharp.
