For those who thrive on competition we also have something for you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening the re will be two courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximat ely 2km in length and has relatively simple navigation. This is really wel l suited to children and family groups who are out for an explore. It is a lso popular with seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n \nThe Long Course is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is more challenging. It is best suited for runners looking for more adventure and best suited to adults or juniors with navigational experience.\n\nCoa ching available - if you are new\, don't worry\, there will be experienced coaches/officials at registration to welcome newcomers\, explain the acti vity and give some coaching tips. If you feel you or your child would like more support than this\, there may be some coaches available to 'shadow' you round the course. If they like the event and want to come back for mo re\, they can join our club and pay membership rates\, or pay as a non-mem ber next time.\n\nPlease note: Participants who are not members of British Orienteering or of another orienteering federation are not covered by Bri tish Orienteering’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter this event\, but please understand that you are taking part at your own r isk. For example\, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the publ ic or damage property during the event\, you would not be covered. Members of Orienteering Ireland are covered by British Orienteering insurance. \ n\n\nTerrain Summary\nParkland\n\n\nPrevious Maps/Routegadget\nCampbell Co llege was last used for a WEE series events in August 2023.\n\n\nCourse No tes\nLong Course – approx 4km\n\nShort Course – approx 2km\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nWatch out for other park users.\n\nThere will be a first a id and a qualified first aider available at registration. Registration is also a safe place for children to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and carry any medication you might nee d\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured o r ill person\, please stop\, help and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop to provide support.\n \nAll participants must return to download\, whether they complete the cou rse or not. This is to account for all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and controls collected in at 8.30pm sh arp.
