 \n\nEvent Format\nThe Wednesday Evening Event (WEE) Series consists of eig
 ht races throughout May and June.\n\nThe WEE series is a great introductio
 n if you are new to the sport\, or a valuable training opportunity if you 
 are already a dab hand. For those who thrive on competition we also have s
 omething for you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening there
  will be two courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximatel
 y 2km in length and has relatively simple navigation. This is really well 
 suited to children and family groups who are out for an explore. It is als
 o popular with seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n\n
 The Long Course is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is mo
 re challenging. It is best suited for runners looking for more adventure a
 nd best suited to adults or juniors with navigational experience.\n\nCoach
 ing available - if you are new\, don't worry\, there will be experienced c
 oaches/officials at registration to welcome newcomers\, explain the activi
 ty and give some coaching tips. If you feel you or your child would like m
 ore support than this\, there may be some coaches available to 'shadow' yo

 \n\n\nRegistration\, Start and Finish\nRegistration: 6.15pm - 7.15pm. Regi
 stration will at the PEC car park. Come here if you need to borrow any equ
 ipment e.g. a dibber (electronic timing device).\n\nStarts: 6.30pm - 7.30p
 m. Start will be a short walk from the car park/registration. If you have 
 registered online and do not need any equipment\, please go directly to th
 e start lane.\n\nCourse Closed: 8.30pm. Finish is close to registration/do

  per required number of maps – one entry = one map. There is no fee to h

 ily charge is for two seniors and one junior. Additional juniors go free.\
 n\nIf you're a member of a NIOA club\, you can bring non-orienteering frie
 nds for free. Fill in the form for one free entry (Will be released in Apr
 il 2026). Remember\, they can only have one free entry within the WEE ser
 ies. If they like the event and want to come back for more\, they can join
  our club and pay membership rates\, or pay as a non-member next time.\n\n
 Please note: Participants who are not members of British Orienteering or o
 f another orienteering federation are not covered by British Orienteering
 ’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter this event\, but
  please understand that you are taking part at your own risk. For example\
 , if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage prop
 erty during the event\, you would not be covered. Members of Orienteering 
 Ireland are covered by British Orienteering insurance. \n\n\nTerrain Summ

 approx 2km\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nWatch out for other park users.\n\nT
 here will be a first aid and a qualified first aider available at registra
 tion. Registration is also a safe place for children to wait.\n\nPlease do
  not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and carry any me
 dication you might need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you co
 me across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further he
 lp. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop
  to provide support.\n\nAll participants must return to download\, whether
  they complete the course or not. This is to account for all competitors\,
  ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and controls col
 lected in at 8.30pm sharp. If you are still out on the course at this time
  return to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nFull le
 g cover is recommended to protect against summer growth of briers and nett
 les.\n\nA waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organisers decide
  the weather requires one\, so bring one along just in case.\n\nDogs are p
 ermitted in the carpark and on the course\, however common sense control o
 f dogs applies.\n\n\nParking\nRegistration will be at Queen's University P
 EC car park\, Stranmillis embankment. Here parking is £1.80 per hour. For
