 \n\nEvent Format\nThe Wednesday Evening Event (WEE) Series consists of eig
 ht races throughout May and June.\n\nThe WEE series is a great introductio
 n if you are new to the sport\, or a valuable training opportunity if you 
 are already a dab hand. For those who thrive on competition we also have s
 omething for you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening there
  will be two courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximatel
 y 2km in length and has relatively simple navigation. This is really well 
 suited to children and family groups who are out for an explore. It is als
 o popular with seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n\n
 The Long Course is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is mo
 re challenging. It is best suited for runners looking for more adventure a
 nd best suited to adults or juniors with navigational experience.\n\nCoach
 ing available - if you are new\, don't worry\, there will be experienced c
 oaches/officials at registration to welcome newcomers\, explain the activi
 ty and give some coaching tips. If you feel you or your child would like m
 ore support than this\, there may be some coaches available to 'shadow' yo

 sh\nRegistration: 6.15pm - 7.15pm. Registration will at the PEC car park. 
 Come here if you need to borrow any equipment e.g. a dibber (electronic ti
 ming device).\n\nStarts: 6.30pm - 7.30pm. Start will be a short walk from 
 the car park/registration. If you have registered online and do not need a
 ny equipment\, please go directly to the start lane.\n\nCourse Closed: 8.3

  have one free entry within the WEE series. If they like the event and wan
 t to come back for more\, they can join our club and pay membership rates\
 , or pay as a non-member next time.\n\nPlease note: Participants who are n
 ot members of British Orienteering or of another orienteering federation a
 re not covered by British Orienteering’s public liability insurance. You
  are welcome to enter this event\, but please understand that you are taki
 ng part at your own risk. For example\, if you were to accidentally injure
  a member of the public or damage property during the event\, you would no
 t be covered. Members of Orienteering Ireland are covered by British Orien

 \nWatch out for other park users.\n\nThere will be a first aid and a quali
 fied first aider available at registration. Registration is also a safe pl
 ace for children to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are un
 well.\n\nPlease bring and carry any medication you might need\, especially
  inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or ill person\,
  please stop\, help and get further help. There will likely be qualified f
 irst aiders on the course who can stop to provide support.\n\nAll particip
 ants must return to download\, whether they complete the course or not. Th
 is is to account for all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\
 n\nCourses will close and controls collected in at 8.30pm sharp. If you ar
 e still out on the course at this time return to finish and download immed
 iately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nFull leg cover is recommended to protect ag
 ainst summer growth of briers and nettles.\n\nA waterproof jacket may also
  be mandatory if the organisers decide the weather requires one\, so bring
  one along just in case.\n\nDogs are permitted in the carpark and on the c
 ourse\, however common sense control of dogs applies.\n\n\nParking\nRegist
 ration will be at Queen's University PEC car park\, Stranmillis embankment
