 \n\nEvent Format\nThe Wednesday Evening Event (WEE) Series consists of eig
 ht races throughout May and June.\n\nThe WEE series is a great introductio
 n if you are new to the sport\, or a valuable training opportunity if you 
 are already a dab hand. For those who thrive on competition we also have s
 omething for you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening there
  will be two courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximatel
 y 2km in length and has relatively simple navigation. This is really well 
 suited to children and family groups who are out for an explore. It is als
 o popular with seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n\n
 The Long Course is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is mo
 re challenging. It is best suited for runners looking for more adventure a
 nd best suited to adults or juniors with navigational experience.\n\n\nOnl

 June 2026\n\nThis event is Online entry only - this is because Belfast par
 ks prohibit cash transactions on site. See here for Terms.\n\n\nRegistrati
 on\, Start and Finish\nRegistration: 6.15pm - 7.15pm. Registration will at
  the PEC car park. Come here if you need to borrow any equipment e.g. a di
 bber (electronic timing device).\n\nStarts: 6.30pm - 7.30pm. Start will be
  a short walk from the car park/registration. If you have registered onlin
 e and do not need any equipment\, please go directly to the start lane.\n\
 nCourse Closed: 8.30pm. Finish is close to registration/download.\n\n\nPri

 ere all are going round a course together – entry fee is per required nu
 mber of maps – one entry = one map. There is no fee to hire an SI card i
 f required\, but lost cards are charged at £30.\n\n*Orienteering club mem

 r two seniors and one junior. Additional juniors go free.\n\nIf you're a m
 ember of a NIOA club\, you can bring non-orienteering friends for free. Fi
 ll in the form for one free entry (Will be released in April 2026). Remem
 ber\, they can only have one free entry within the WEE series. If they lik
 e the event and want to come back for more\, they can join our club and pa
 y membership rates\, or pay as a non-member next time.\n\nPlease note: Par
 ticipants who are not members of British Orienteering or of another orient
 eering federation are not covered by British Orienteering’s public liabi
 lity insurance. You are welcome to enter this event\, but please understan
 d that you are taking part at your own risk. For example\, if you were to 
 accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the e
 vent\, you would not be covered. Members of Orienteering Ireland are cover
 ed by British Orienteering insurance. \n\n\nTerrain Summary\nParkland\n\n

 irst Aid and Safety\nWatch out for other park users.\n\nThere will be a fi
 rst aid and a qualified first aider available at registration. Registratio
 n is also a safe place for children to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the 
 event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and carry any medication you migh
 t need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an inju
 red or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further help. There will li
 kely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop to provide suppo
 rt.\n\nAll participants must return to download\, whether they complete th
 e course or not. This is to account for all competitors\, ensuring everyon
 e’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and controls collected in at 8.30
 pm sharp. If you are still out on the course at this time return to finish
  and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nFull leg cover is recomm
 ended to protect against summer growth of briers and nettles.\n\nA waterpr
 oof jacket may also be mandatory if the organisers decide the weather requ
 ires one\, so bring one along just in case.\n\nDogs are permitted in the c
 arpark and on the course\, however common sense control of dogs applies.\n
