For those who thrive on competition we also have something for you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nCoac hing available – if you are new\, don’t worry\, there will be experien ced coaches/officials at registration to welcome newcomers\, explain the a ctivity and give some coaching tips. If you feel you or your child would l ike more support than this\, there may be some coaches available to ‘sha dow’ you round the course. See here for Terms.\n\n\nCourses\nEach evening there wi ll be two courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximately 2 km in length and has relatively simple navigation. This is really well sui ted to children and family groups who are out for an explore. It is also p opular with seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n\nThe Long Course is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is more challenging. If you com e across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further hel p. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop to provide support. Please do not come to the event if you are unwell. Ple ase bring and carry any medication you might need\, especially inhalers an d EpiPen’s.\n\nPlease take a note of the course closure time. If you are still out on the course at this time return to finish and download immedi ately. All participants must return to download\, whether they complete th e course or not. This is to account for all competitors\, ensuring everyon e’s safe return.\n\nRegistration is a safe place for lost children to wa it.\n\n\nKit requirements\n\n\n Full leg cover is recommended to protect against summer growth of briers and nettles.\n A waterproof jacket may al so be mandatory if the organisers decide the weather requires one\, so bri ng one along just in case.\n Dogs are permitted in the carpark and on the course\, however common sense control of dogs applies.\n\n\n\n\nParking\n TBC\n\nNeed a ride to the event?
