 n\nEvent Format\nThe Wednesday Evening Event (WEE) Series consists of eigh
 t races throughout May and June.\n\nThe WEE series is a great introduction
  if you are new to the sport\, or a valuable training opportunity if you a
 re already a dab hand. For those who thrive on competition we also have so
 mething for you\, with the WEE series league table.\n\nEach evening there 
 will be two courses\, Short and Long.\n\nThe Short Course is approximately
  2km in length and has relatively simple navigation. This is really well s
 uited to children and family groups who are out for an explore. It is also
  popular with seasoned orienteers who do not want too physical a run.\n\nT
 he Long Course is approximately 4km in length and is the navigation is mor
 e challenging. It is best suited for runners looking for more adventure an
 d best suited to adults or juniors with navigational experience.\n\n\nOnli

 May 2026\n\nLimited Entry on the Day is available at non-member rates\, de

  family charge is for two seniors and one junior. Additional juniors go fr
 ee.\n\nIf you're a member of a NIOA club\, you can bring non-orienteering 
 friends for free. Fill in the form for one free entry (Will be released in
  April 2026). Remember\, they can only have one free entry within the WEE
  series. If they like the event and want to come back for more\, they can 
 join our club and pay membership rates\, or pay as a non-member next time.
 \n\nPlease note: Participants who are not members of British Orienteering 
 or of another orienteering federation are not covered by British Orienteer
 ing’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter this event\, 
 but please understand that you are taking part at your own risk. For examp
 le\, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage p
 roperty during the event\, you would not be covered. Members of Orienteeri
 ng Ireland are covered by British Orienteering insurance. \n\n\nTerrain S

 – approx 2km\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nWatch out for other park users.\
 n\nThere will be a first aid and a qualified first aider available at regi
 stration. Registration is also a safe place for lost children to wait.\n\n
 Please do not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and car
 ry any medication you might need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\n
 If you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get f
 urther help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who
  can stop to provide support.\n\nAll participants must return to download\
 , whether they complete the course or not. This is to account for all comp
 etitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and con
 trols collected in at 8.30pm sharp. If you are still out on the course at 
 this time return to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements
 \nFull leg cover is recommended to protect against summer growth of briers
  and nettles.\n\nA waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organise
 rs decide the weather requires one\, so bring one along just in case.\n\nD
 ogs are permitted in the carpark and on the course\, however common sense
