See here for Terms.\n\n\nRegistration\, Start and Fin ish\nStart Times - 11:00 - 14:00\n\nRegistration will be close to the even t parking\, but across the main road - there will be a marshal\, but pleas e take care!\n\nStart and Finish will be co-located and approx 900m and 60 m climb from the parking.  Please allow sufficient time to get there!  T here will be no formal clothing drop\, but you may bring a bag and leave i t close to the start/finish if you wish.\n\n\nPrice\nDiscounts available f or entry across multiple events at Tollymore Festival (see festival page f or details). Sociable group / family fee where all are going round a course together – entry fee is per required number of map s i.e. one entry = one map.\n\nThere is a £3 / €4 fee for car parking. NO CHANGE WILL BE GIVEN.\n\n\nTerrain Summary\nOpen mountain terrain with many intricate contour and rock features.\n\n\nDogs\nNO DOGS ALLOWED  -  as this event is on open mountainside with livestock.\n\n\nPrevious Maps/ Routegadget\nThe Slievenagore map was last used on 22 October 2022 for the LVO Autumn Trophy series. Routegadget map and courses can be found here: https://www.lvo.routegadget.co.uk/rg2/#488\n\n\nCourse Notes\nThere is no White course\, as it is not appropriate to the open mountain terrain.\n\n 🟡 Yellow – 1.9km +90 m climb – along paths with more route choice d ecisions. Appropriate for newcomers and younger juniors with some experien ce.  Not suitable for buggies!\n🟠 Orange – 2.1km + 95m climb – ski lls needed to navigate away from paths and more route choice decisions\, s ome compass skills are expected. Aimed at novice adults and improving juni ors.\n🔴 Red – 3.4km + 125m climb [Leinster League ONLY] – skills n eeded to navigate away from paths and more route choice decisions\, some c ompass skills are expected. Aimed at novice adults and improving juniors\n 🟢 Light Green – 2.2km + 115m climb – this course requires confident map reading and compass skills.\n🟢 Short Green – 2.0km + 100m climb – this course is set at the highest technical difficulty but shorter to attract those who may struggle with a longer physical course.\n🟢 Green – 3.2km + 165m climb – technically and reasonably physically demanding course.\n🔵 Blue – 5.4km + 210m climb – technically and physically demanding course.\n🟤 Brown – 6.75km + 300m climb – technical and ve ry physically demanding course.\n\n All maps will be A4 and 1:10\,000 wit h 5m contours\n Blue and Brown courses will have a map flip.\n All contr ols will be SI Air enabled\, except Start and Finish which must be punched .\n\nNOTE: This event is also doubling up as the LVO Club Champs\, so if y ou wish to be deemed competitive within the Championships you must pick th e correct colour relating to your AgeClass. It will be assumed that you ar e running your default AgeClass. Participants who chose to ‘run up’ a course will be deemed competitive in higher age categories BUT MUST THEN D ECLARE which AgeClass they are competing in by midnight on Wednesday 18th\ , by emailing the event organiser through SI entries. Participants can als o choose to ‘run down’ and although they will not be deemed competitiv e for the Champs\, their result will still be counted in the NICS and BOF ranking. Leinster League results will be published by 3ROC.\n\ n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nThere will be a first aid and a qualified first a ider available at registration. Registration is also a safe place for lost children to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell.\n \nPlease bring and carry any medication you might need\, especially inhale rs and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further help. There will likely be qualified first ai ders on the course who can stop to provide support.\n\nAll participants mu st return to download\, whether they complete the course or not. This is t o account for all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCour ses will close and controls collected in at 3pm sharp.
