  Urban\n\nThis event is Day 1 of the three-day Tollymore Festival of Orien
 teering which includes the Warrenpoint Urban race on Friday\; the NICS eve
 nt on Slieve Martin on Saturday\; camping at Tollymore (on Friday and Satu
 rday) and a BBQ on Saturday evening\, and fun relay and other activities o

 \nSI Entries\n\n\n\nOnline Entry closes\nMonday 17 June 2024\, 11pm\n\n\nR
 egistration\, Start and Finish\nRegistration will be at the carpark of Clo
 nallon Park. If you have pre-entered online and already have a SI-card\, g
 o straight to the start. The start and finish are located beside the carpa
 rk.\n\nStarts are from 6.30pm to 8pm. Courses close at 9pm.\n\n\nPrice\n\n

 more than £17 (£22 for non-members) then please contact the organiser af

 go free.\n\nSI timing card hire is free but are charged at a replacement c
 ost of £30 if lost.\n\n\nTerrain Summary\nUsual urban terrain - pavements
 \, roads and parklands.\n\nNote that there is a lot of dog poo in the park
 \, so check your shoes before getting back into your car.\n\n\nPrevious Ma

 Notes\nLong – 6.8km + 90m climb (optimal distance) – For 16s and over.
 \n\nMedium – 4.2km + 55m climb (optimal distance) – For 16s and over.\
 n\nShort – 1.3km + 15m climb – within park\, no road crossings. The sh
 ort course is the only course suitable for unaccompanied juniors under the
  age of 16. It is of a yellow/TD2 standard.\n\nJunior Challenge - 1.5km + 
 15m climb - For those under 16s wanting more of a challenge (M/W14 and 16)
  and who are not concerned about scoring points in the Urban league\, we'v
 e a special Juniors Challenge course available. Lots of the map missing\, 
 so a chance to test compass and distance skills! Within park\, no road cro
 ssings.\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nTake care on all roads\, use footpaths 
 when possible. The short course is suitable for Juniors as it does not inv
 olve road crossings or areas where there is likely to concerns over vehicl
 e traffic. Due to the nature of the longer courses\, there are age restric
 tions in place.\n\nThere will be a first aid and a qualified first aider a
 vailable at registration. Registration is also a safe place for lost child
 ren to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlea
 se bring and carry any medication you might need\, especially inhalers and
  EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop\
 , help and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders o
 n the course who can stop to provide support.\n\nAll participants must ret
 urn to download\, whether they complete the course or not. This is to acco
 unt for all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses wi
 ll close and controls collected in at 9pm sharp. If you are still out on t
 he course at this time return to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit
  requirements\nShorts and running vests are permitted for this race. Shoes
  with spikes and metal dobs are not allowed. It can be muddy in places and
  therefore shoes with some grip would be appropriate.\n\nFor under 16s run
 ning in the park\, there are some areas of nettles\, so full-leg cover may
  be appropriate.\n\n\nParking\nParking is at Church of Mary Queen of Peace
 \, directly opposite Clonallon Park. Cross Clonallon Road to reach registr
 ation and start. Parking is tight\, so please carshare where possible. If 
 there is no space\, park at Clonallon Park itself\, but please bear in min
 d that we're trying to keep this carpark free for local users.\n\n\nToilet
 s\nNo toilets available in Clonallon Park. Nearest public toilets are in W
 arrenpoint Square or beside the Whistledown Hotel\, inside the entrance to
  Warrenpoint Park.\n\n\n
