  + 50m climb – This is the only course suitable for unaccompanied Junior
 s under the age of 16 (age on the day)\nMedium – 5.5km + 65m climb – J
 uniors under 16yrs old must be accompanied on this course.\nLong – 8.3km
  + 100m climb – Juniors under 16yrs old must be accompanied on this cour
 se.Short and Long courses will have a map flip.  Note that the Long cours
 e map flip will also change map orientation from Landscape to Portrait!\n\
 n 	All maps are 1:4000 and 2.5m contours.\n 	A3 Maps for Medium and Long c
 oures\n 	A4 Map for the Short course\n 	Map was surveyed April 2024 and up
 dated June 2025.\n 	All course distances are provisional and subject to fi
 nal controlling.\n\nPlanner's notes:\n\n 	The Short/Junior course is limit
 ed in length by the availability of safe terrain\, but does include some '
 proper' urban orienteering of equivalent difficulty to the Medium / Long c
 ourses.  It may not be suitable for younger or inexperienced juniors.\n 	
 Please be aware that courses close at 9pm\, and some gates may be locked a
 t that time\, so you will need to be quick if starting late on the Long co
 urse!\n\n\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nTake care on all roads\, use footpath
 s when possible.\n\nThe Short course is the only one suitable for Juniors 
 under the age of 16 yrs on the day as it does not involve un-marshalled ro
 ad crossings or areas where there is likely to concerns over vehicle traff
 ic.  There will be 1 marshalled road crossing on the short course - compe
 titors must obey the marshal's instructions at all times.\n\nJuniors under
  16yrs old wanting to run the Medium or Long courses MUST be accompanied b
 y an adult.\n\nThere will be first aid and a qualified first aider availab
 le at registration. Registration is also a safe place for lost children to
  wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell. Please bring 
 and carry any medication you might need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen
 ’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help 
 and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the c
 ourse who can stop to provide support.\n\nAll participants must return to 
 download\, whether they complete the course or not. This is to account for
  all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will clos
 e and controls collected in at 9pm sharp. If you are still out on the cour
 se at this time return to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requir
 ements\nShorts and running vests are permitted for this race. Shoes with s
 pikes and metal dobs are not allowed.\n\n\nParking\nRoad outside Mary Quee
