Members of Orienteering Ireland are covered by Brit ish Orienteering insurance. \n\n\nTerrain Summary\nTBC\n\n\nPrevious Maps /Routegadget\nTBC\n\n\nCourse Notes\nShort – km + m climb – The short course is the only course suitable for unaccompanied juniors under the age of 16.\nMedium – km + m climb –\nLong – km + m climb –\n\nThis ev ent is part of the Northern Ireland Urban League. For the Northern Irelan d Urban League\, competitors may enter any course they wish (with under 16 s restricted to the Short course). The scoring system for the league takes account of age class and gender and is explained here.\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nTake care on all roads\, use footpaths when possible. The short c ourse is suitable for Juniors as it does not involve road crossings or are as where there is likely to concerns over vehicle traffic. Due to the natu re of the longer courses\, juniors aged under 16 on the day are restricted to the Short course unless accompanied by an adult.\n\nThere will be a fi rst aid and a qualified first aider available at registration. Registratio n is also a safe place for lost children to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell. Please bring and carry any medication you mi ght need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an in jured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop to provide sup port.\n\nAll participants must return to download\, whether they complete the course or not. This is to account for all competitors\, ensuring every one’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and controls collected in at 8p m sharp. If you are still out on the course at this time return to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nShorts and running vests are permitted for this race. Shoes with spikes and metal dobs are not allo wed.
