 \nEvent Format\nNorthern Ireland Colour Series 4\n\nThis event is Day 2 of
  the 3 Day Tollymore Festival of Orienteering which includes the Rostrevor
  Urban race on Friday\; this NICS event on Slieve Martin on Saturday\; cam
 ping at Tollymore and a BBQ after this race on Saturday\, and fun relay an

 fee to hire an SI card if required\, but lost cards are charged at £30.\n
 \n\nTerrain Summary\nThis is a great area for orienteering over varied ter
 rain\, open hill and thick forest.\n\nIt is fairly high up\, so on a good 
 day you will enjoy great views of the southern Mournes\, down over Carling
 ford Lough and across to the Cooley Peninsula\; but on a bad day you could

 ite – km + m climb – navigate along paths with few route choice decisi
 ons. Aimed at primary school aged newcomers.\n🟡 Yellow – km + m climb
  – along paths with more route choice decisions. Appropriate for newcome
 rs and younger juniors with some experience.\n🟠 Orange – km + m climb
  – skills needed to navigate away from paths and more route choice decis
 ions\, some compass skills are expected. Aimed at novice adults and improv
 ing juniors.\n🟢 Light Green – km + m climb – this course requires c
 onfident map reading and compass skills.\n🟢 Short Green – km + m clim
 b – this course is set at the highest technical difficulty but shorter t
 o attract those who may struggle with a longer physical course.\n🟢 Gree
 n – km + m climb – technically and reasonably physically demanding cou
 rse.\n🔵 Blue – km + m climb – technically and physically demanding 
 course.\n🟤 Brown – km + m climb – technical and very physically dem
 anding course.\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nThere will be a first aid and a 
 qualified first aider available at registration. Registration is also a sa
 fe place for lost children to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if 
 you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and carry any medication you might need\, 
 especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or il
 l person\, please stop\, help and get further help. There will likely be q
 ualified first aiders on the course who can stop to provide support.\n\nAl
 l participants must return to download\, whether they complete the course 
 or not. This is to account for all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s saf
 e return.\n\nCourses will close and controls collected in at 3pm sharp. If
  you are still out on the course at this time return to finish and downloa
 d immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nFull body cover is mandatory.\n\nA w
 histle (emergency alert is 6 loud blasts per minute) is mandatory.\n\nA wa
 terproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organisers decide the weather
  requires one\, so bring one along just in case.\n\n\nParking\nThe Upper 
 ‘Cloughmore’ car park should be used (GR J195174) where the Mobile Ori
 enteering Office (MOO) will be situated for information/download. If you f
 ind yourselves sitting in a carpark with a playground / Synge and Byrne ca
 fé / Cloughmore Centre\, YOU ARE IN THE WRONG CARPARK! You need to keep d
 riving up the hill through the forest\, following the one-way signs for

  an annual NMDCC permit.\n\n\nToilets\nPublic toilet facilities are availa
