Places are limited\, so please only sign up if your chil d will be able to attend the majority of the sessions.\n\nAll children mus t be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the coaching\, up to a ma ximum of four children per adult. This is not a drop-off service!\n\nSess ions are primarily for children who are aged 9 upwards. It has a network of paths and tracks to help n avigate\, as well as runnable forest with a variety of features. We will look at the different types of compasses there are. We will then do a ser ies of exercises to understand how to set or orientate the map to north us ing a compass and how to follow a direction of travel arrow. We will look at what happens and what to do when there are obstacles in the way.\n\nFin ally we learn how to fold your map so that your compass fits neatly on top of it.\n\n\nKit requirements\n🧥👖 Full body cover is mandatory. If t he weather is cold or wet – a waterproof jacket will be mandatory. As we ll as times of exercise there will be periods of coaching when you will be stationary\, so layer up – bring along an extra jumper\, a hat and glov es to keep comfortable. There is likely to be a bag drop off point with a coach present or close by.
