Places are limited\, so please only sign up if yo ur child will be able to attend the majority of the sessions.\n\nAll child ren must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the coaching\, up to a maximum of four children per adult.Ā This is not a drop-off service!\ n\nSessions are primarily for children who are aged 10 to 14. We will look at the different types of compasses there are. We will then do a series of exercises to understand how to set or orientate the map to north using a compass and how to follow a direction of travel arrow. We will look at wha t happens and what to do when there are obstacles in the way. Finally we l earn how to fold your map so that your compass fits neatly on top of it.\n \n\nKit requirements\nšŸ§„šŸ‘– Full body cover is mandatory. If the weathe r is cold or wet ā€“ a waterproof jacket will be mandatory. As well as tim es of exercise there will be periods of coaching when you will be stationa ry\, so layer up ā€“ bring along an extra jumper\, a hat and gloves to kee p comfortable. There is likely to be a bag drop off point with a coach pre sent or close by.
