 rest Park Main Carpark\n\n\nEvent Format\n\nLagan Valley Orienteers invite
 s you to a 12-week training course for 10s and over who are already orient
 eering to a yellow standard (TD2) and want to progress quickly to orange /
  light green (TD3/4) standard. \n\n\nThis course will run weekly from Sun
 day 28 September to Sunday 11 January 2025. Places are limited\, so please
  only sign up if your child will be able to attend the majority of the ses
 sions.\n\nAll children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of
  the coaching\, up to a maximum of four children per adult. This is not a
  drop-off service!\n\nSessions are primarily for children who are aged 10 
 to 14. If children are younger\, please check out Running Wild or get in c
 ontact with us (email juniors_families@lvo.org.uk) to find out other exci
 ting orienteering opportunities for them.\n\nWe'll meet at either at Tolly
 more Forest Park's Main Carpark or Meelmore Lodge\, depending on the sessi

 nesday 24 September 2025\n\n\nStart Times\nCoaching takes place 9.30am to 
 10.30am.\n\nOn the last Sunday of the month\, our monthly Running Wild coa
 ching will take place as normal 11am to 12.30pm for younger orienteers.\n\
 n\nPrice\n💰 Training is free for members of LVO\, NIOA and Orienteering
  Ireland. Non-members must join a club so they are insured. For 2025 memb
 ership\, JOIN HERE via the British Orienteering website\, selecting LVO as
  your club. Cost after 1 September is £4 per junior.\n\n\nTerrain Summary
 \nTollymore forest is a great place to discover the sport of orienteering.
  It has a network of paths and tracks to help navigate\, as well as runnab
 le forest with a variety of features. The forest is popular with hikers\, 
 runners\, dog walkers\, horse riders and mountain bikers\, so take care an

 nKit requirements\n🧥👖 Full body cover is mandatory. If the weather i
 s cold or wet – a waterproof jacket will be mandatory. As well as times 
 of exercise there will be periods of coaching when you will be stationary\
 , so layer up – bring along an extra jumper\, a hat and gloves to keep c
 omfortable. There is likely to be a bag drop off point with a coach presen
 t or close by. NOTE: the club or coach is not responsible for the safe kee
 ping of the kit\, it is dropped off at your own risk\, so please leave any
  valuables in the car.\n\nAll should carry whistles.\n\nBring a compass if
  you have one.\n\n\nParking\n£5 at entrance\; free if you have annual pas
