 it/northern-ireland/castle-ward\n\nExplore Castle Ward to see the gothic\,
  classical and nature collide. An eccentric 18th century mansion resting o
 n a rolling hillside overlooking the tranquil waters of Strangford Lough.\
 n\nWhere will your course take you? Maybe you’ll be hunting controls in 
 the sheltered woodland alongside the local wildlife or through the sunken 
 gardens as the spring flowers come into season! You might even take in the
  fantasy world of castles and dragons as hit-series Game of Thrones was fi
 lmed on these very grounds…\n\nThe terrain is mostly parkland with some 
 forest crossed by several paths.\n\nFour courses are available:\n\n💛YEL
 LOW\, 2.0km – for younger children &amp\; family groups\, as well as mor
 e cautious new adults. There will be a road crossing which will be marshal
 led.\n\n🧡ORANGE\, 2.8 km– for children &amp\; family groups moving on
  from yellow\, as well as more adventurous new adults\n\n💚SHORT GREEN\,
  3.5 km – as difficult orienteering as the terrain permits\, shorter di
 stance than the short blue course.  Generally for experienced orienteers.

 s\n\nDirections\, parking\, and location information:\n\nOn entering the C
 astle Ward estate continue on the main road until you reach the National T
 rust kiosk. The parking is the hard standing area in on the left. The MOO 
 will be parked in there if you need to go to registration. Toilets can be 
 found in the courtyard alongside the tearoom\, book shop and National Trus
 t Shop!\n\nDogs are permitted but must be on a lead – apart from in the 
 dog exercise area which is adjacent to where we will be parking.\n\nEntry 
 Fee to NT property:\n\nWe have been very fortunate to agree a reduced entr
 y fee for this event.\n\nThis is available to LVO members and NIOA members
  at the reduced rate of £3 per person. You will need to provide evidence 
 of Club/British Orienteering Membership e.g. your membership card or renew
 al letter/email to avail of this discount. (The standard rate is £12 per 
 adult and £6 per child).\n\nNT members will not be charged\, please ensur
 e you swipe your membership card. \n\n 	Registration will be alongside th
 e car-park from 11:00. Allow 10 minutes to walk from registration to the 
 start.\n 	Starts are from 11:30 to 13:00.\n 	Download is back in the car 
 park – another 10 minute walk back from the finish.\n 	Courses close at 
 15:00\, at which time controls will be lifted.\n\nSI Air will not be enabl
