Event Description
The second Spring Cup will take place next Saturday 9th March in Woodburn Forest, Carrickfergus. Parking is available at Woodburn Presbyterian Church (toilets are available).
Registration opens at 11am with starts from 11:30 to 1.00pm. Courses close 3.00pm.
The map has been updated and runners should expect to encounter a significant amount of storm damage, most of which is passable. Individual fallen trees have not been mapped. Any larger blocks of windblown trees have been mapped as fight. There has also been a lot of Mountain Bike and Scrambler activity which has generated new minor paths. Only the more obvious of these have been added to the map.
The Yellow course has two short sections that follow earth banks. Parents should please make sure that children are aware of this and perhaps point out examples of earth banks near the start area if appropriate.
As usual there will be 3 courses Green, Orange and Yellow to suit all abilities.
