 ore confident\, and find friends to run about with in forests and up mount
 ains? Would like to learn a new outdoor sport that all the family can take
  part in?\n\nTaking place on the last Sunday of the month\, LVO invites yo
 u to Running Wild\, a chance for like-minded families to learn about orien
 teering together and find out about how to get involved in our exciting cl
 ub and sport.\n\nSessions are for children in Primary 4 and above. If chil
 dren are younger\, please get in contact with us (email juniors_families@l
 vo.org.uk) to find out other exciting orienteering opportunities for them.
 \n\nAll children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the c
 oaching\, up to a maximum of four children per adult. This is not a drop-o
 ff service.\n\n\nEntry/Registration\nOpening start of May\n\n\nRegistratio
 n closes\nMidnight\, Tuesday 26 May 2026\n\n\nStart Times\nArrive 9.25am f
 or registration. Coaching takes place 9.30am to 10.30am\, with a chance to
  catch up with coaches and friends over tea/coffee/squash until 11am.\n\n\
 nPrice\n💰 Training is free for members of LVO\, NIOA and Orienteering I
 reland.\n\n💰 Non-members are also welcome to attend any of our activiti
 es and events\, but there is a £3 fee per child for this activity\, up to
  a max of £10 per family. After attending three orienteering events\, peo
 ple must join a club so they are insured. For 2025 membership\, JOIN HERE 
 via the British Orienteering website\, selecting LVO as your club.\n\n\nTe
 rrain Summary\nTollymore forest is a great place to discover the sport of 
 orienteering. It has a network of paths and tracks to help navigate\, as w
 ell as runnable forest with a variety of features. The forest is popular w
 ith hikers\, runners\, dog walkers\, horse riders and mountain bikers\, so
  take care and treat others with courtesy.\n\n\nPrevious Maps/Routegadget\

 ses\n👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Groups will be organised into children with
  the same level of technical ability\, each having a dedicated coach.\n\n\
 nKit requirements\n🧥👖 Full body cover is mandatory. If the weather i
 s cold or wet – a waterproof jacket will be mandatory. As well as times 
 of exercise there will be periods of coaching when you will be stationary\
 , so layer up – bring along an extra jumper\, a hat and gloves to keep c
 omfortable. There is likely to be a bag drop off point with a coach presen
 t or close by. NOTE: the club or coach is not responsible for the safe kee
 ping of the kit\, it is dropped off at your own risk\, so please leave any
  valuables in the car. All should carry whistles.\n\n\nParking\n£5 at ent
