 untains? Would like to learn a new outdoor sport that all the family can t
 ake part in?\n\nTaking place on the first Sunday of the month\, LVO invite
 s you to Running Wild\, a chance for like-minded families to learn about o
 rienteering together and find out about how to get involved in our excitin
 g club and sport.\n\nSessions are for children in Primary 4 and above. If 
 children are younger\, please get in contact with us (email secretary@lvo.
 org.uk) to find out other exciting orienteering opportunities for them.\n\
 nAll children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the coac
 hing\, up to a maximum of four children per adult. This is not a drop-off 
 service.\n\n\nEntry/Registration\nRegister HERE via this online form.\n\n\
 nRegistration closes\nMidnight\, Wednesday 30 September.\n\n\nStart Times\
 nArrive 9.50am for registration. Coaching takes place 10am to 11am\, with 
 a chance to catch up with coaches and friends over tea/coffee/squash until
  11.30am.\n\n\nPrice\n💰 Training is free for members of LVO\, NIOA and 
 Orienteering Ireland.\n\n💰 Non-members are also welcome to attend any o
 f our activities and events\, but there is a £3 fee per child for this ac
 tivity\, up to a max of £10 per family\, payable on the day. After attend
 ing three orienteering events\, people must join a club so they are insure
 d. For 2026 membership\, JOIN HERE via the British Orienteering website\, 
 selecting LVO as your club.\n\n\nTerrain Summary\nGosford Forest is a grea
 t place to discover the sport of orienteering. It has a network of paths a
 nd tracks to help navigate\, as well as runnable forest with a variety of 
 features. The forest is popular with hikers\, runners\, dog walkers\, hors
 e riders and mountain bikers\, so take care and treat others with courtesy

 ll be organised into children with the same level of technical ability\, e
 ach having a dedicated coach.\n\n\nKit requirements\n🧥👖 Full body co
 ver is mandatory. If the weather is cold or wet – a waterproof jacket wi
 ll be mandatory. As well as times of exercise there will be periods of coa
 ching when you will be stationary\, so layer up – bring along an extra j
 umper\, a hat and gloves to keep comfortable. There is likely to be a bag 
 drop off point with a coach present or close by. NOTE: the club or coach i
 s not responsible for the safe keeping of the kit\, it is dropped off at y
 our own risk\, so please leave any valuables in the car. All should carry
