For your delight we will be usin g a newly extended map ( as if you need any more stress ) and as ever\, I' m planning all the fun. Hopefully not on this occasion)\n\nToilets: Please note that whilst there are 2 local shops for drinks and snacks\, t here are no toilets at Registration. Please use the ones in the undergroun d car park of Rushmere shopping Centre\, or in Tesco's prior to attendance .\n\nRegistration: From 2:00 p.m.\nStart &\; Finish: Both Start and Fin ish are adjacent to the Car Park so you can cheer people off and they can cheer you home. We have plenty of green space to be sociable in after your run\, or for seeking psychological help.\nStart times: 2:00 - 3:30 p.m.\n Courses Close: 5:00 p.m.\n\nWarm up Area: this will be restricted to the car park itself. Everywhere else is part of the competition area.\n\nCours es:\nShort: 2.7 km\, 19 Controls\,  A4 1:3000 Scale Map - a perfect intro duction to Urban Orienteering for beginners and family groups\nMedium: 5.1 km\, 26 Controls\, A3 1:3000ish\nLong: 7.9 km\, 33 Controls\, 1:4000 Doub le sided A4\n\nThese are optimal distances. i.e. if you manage not to be o utwitted. The actual distance travelled could spiral significantly if I ge t inside your head.\n\nThe Short Course is entirely free of vehicular traf fic. There are no road crossings and consequently I deem it perfectly safe for all teens and above to be able to navigate on their own. For 12's and under I would still recommend that the juniors are either accompanied or shadowed. Whilst there is no traffic\, we are still in an urban environmen t and safeguarding concerns need to be taken into account as well as H &am p\; S.\nPlease note that for any adult wishing to shadow a Junior and then have their own run afterwards\, they will be classed as Non-Comp in the r esults having entered the competition area prior to competing themselves.\ n\nAny under 16's wishing to complete the Medium or Long Courses will need to be accompanied by an over 16 year old.\n\nSI Air: Please note SI Air w ill not be enabled.\n\nTerrain: A mix of typical Housing Executive\, and p rivate housing estates with lots of paths and cycleways\, lots of green sp aces littered with trees\, and with occasional patches of Meadow. Very run nable but you will need to concentrate on the map to select the right rout e choices.
