DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nFixture Format\nLVO are hosting both the NI Sprint Champi
 onships and the NI Middle Championships on the same day. Any one can take 
 part\, but you need to be a current NIOA member to be eligible for a prize
 .\n\nThere will be a planned break between the two events.\n\n\nEntry\n[ev

  page will give the definitive prices.\n\n\nCourses\nIf you wish to run co
 mpetitively you must:\n\n 	Be a current member of a NI Orienteering club\n
  	Run unaccompanied\n 	Enter the course relating to your age class\n 	You 
 cannot change class after entries close and still qualify for NI Champs\n\

 in Summary\nWhitespots is a former lead mining area on the edge of the Cla
 ndeboye Estate. Mining ended around 1910 but reminders of the industry can
  still be seen today in the form of chimneys\, mine shafts – which are a
 ll fenced off – and spoil heaps.\n\nThe area consists of forest and open
  areas with a lot of gorse. The area has an extensive path network due to 
 bike trials being held here. Speed will not be your friend! This area was 
 previously a dumping site so be aware of any pieces of metal / scrap mater
 ial in the forested area.  Further to the north is the Clandeboye Estate 
 which is mostly forested with varying levels of runnability.\n\nThe area w
 as newly mapped in March 2023.  Please note that large areas of ferns hav
 e been marked as “open area with scattered trees”. Crags are not large
  features but have been mapped and are consistent throughout the area.  I
 t is very muddy underfoot and\, even if there is a dry spell before the ev
 ent\, wear appropriate footwear for slippery conditions.\n\n\nFirst Aid an
 d Safety\nWatch out for other park users\, including dog walkers and biker
 s.\n\nThere will be first aid and a qualified first aider available at reg
 istration. If you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, hel
 p and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the
  course who can stop to provide support. Please do not come to the event i
 f you are unwell. Please bring and carry any medication you might need\, e
 specially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nPlease take a note of the course clo
 sure time. If you are still out on the course at this time return to finis
 h and download immediately. All participants must return to download\, whe
 ther they complete the course or not. This is to account for all competito
 rs\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nRegistration is a safe place fo
 r lost children to wait.\n\n\nKit requirements\n\n\n 	Full-body cover is o
 ptional.\n 	A whistle is mandatory (emergency alert is 6 loud blasts per m
 inute).\n 	A waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organisers dec
 ide the weather requires one\, so bring one along.\n\n\n\n\nParking\nThe p
 arking will be in the Whitespots Country Park which is signposted from the
  Newtownards / Bangor dual carriageway – A21. This park is beside the So
 mme Centre BT23 7PH. Please park responsibly.\n\n\nRegistration\, Start\,
