DESCRIPTION:Lagan Valley Orienteers invite you to the Carrickfergus area fo
 r the NIOA Middle Distance Championship 2021.\nEntries\nPre-entry is requi
 red. Entries is via SI Entries (entries close on Thursday 22nd July 2021 a
 t 19:00). The entry link covers both the Sprint and Middle distance Champi
 onships\, which are being held on the same day and are located close to ea

 is at a scale of 1:10000 with 5m contour interval\, was surveyed by Bill S
 impson in August 2015 and updated by him in March 2016 and February 2017.\
 nTerrain notes\nThe forest surrounds a large reservoir and consists of lar
 ge areas of mainly Sitka Spruce plantation with some smaller patches of de
 ciduous wood. There are numerous ditches and earth banks throughout and se
 veral areas of windblown. There is a good network of forest roads througho
 ut. There are also many motorcycle tracks which are often muddy and wet wi
 th lying water. Since these tracks vary in use not all are mapped. Some ar
 eas to the south have not been used for some time but will feature on the 
 longer courses.\n\nNOTE: Full leg cover is advised.\nDibbers\nThe event wi
 ll be SI Air enabled. SI timing card hire is free but lost cards are charg
 ed at a replacement cost of £30.\nDogs\nOn leads only.\nToilets\nToilets
