There will be a supply of NIOA SIACs for loan if necessary.\nTh e Yellow course has been planned to TD2 (no more than 2 decision points be tween controls with controls sited on or within sight of handrail features ) but may prove a challenge to newer and younger competitors unused to urb an orienteering\, so shadowing for safety is encouraged. Where the shadowe r also plans to compete\, he or she should complete their run first. All t he other courses are\, as is normal in urban terrain\, at TD3 but with as many route choices as possible on most legs without becoming long Sprint c ourses.\nAlthough there is little traffic activity on a Sunday morning\, d ue care must be taken when crossing any roads within the estates. The majo r routes have all been marked as uncrossable\, with underpass or bridge op tions to choose. The Yellow and Orange courses have a manned crossing earl y in their run with a short taped route up to the next handrail.\n\n\n\nFi rst Aid and Safety\nThere will be a first aid and a qualified first aider available at registration. Registration is also a safe place for lost chil dren to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPle ase bring and carry any medication you might need\, especially inhalers an d EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop \, help and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop to provide support.\n\nAll participants must re turn to download\, whether they complete the course or not. This is to acc ount for all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses w ill close and controls collected in at 3pm sharp.
