 Participants who are not members of British Orienteering or of another ori
 enteering federation are not covered by British Orienteering’s public li
 ability insurance. You are welcome to enter this event\, but please unders
 tand that you are taking part at your own risk. For example\, if you were 
 to accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during th
 e event\, you would not be covered. Members of Orienteering Ireland are co
 vered by British Orienteering insurance. \n\n\n\nTerrain Summary\nMostly 
 runnable forest\, with a good track network\, parkland and possibly some u
 rban areas.\n\n\nPrevious Maps/Routegadget\nTBC\n\n\nCourse Notes\nAs of t
 he week of 16th February\, the park area around Lough Muckno and the fores
 t on Black Island are deemed to be in reasonable enough condition for orie
 nteering\, although a little wet underfoot. White Island will not be used 
 due to continued flooding. There are still some fallen trees on Black Isla
 nd\, but controls will not be placed in these areas. Leg covering is recom
 mended. The area continues to be monitored\, and  more information will b
 e provided in the days leading up to the event.\n\nThis event will have al
 l the usual Leinster League colour courses\, Brown\, Blue\, Green\, Light 
 Green\, Orange and Yellow.\n\nThe event is also an NI Orienteering Colour 
 Series event.  With this in mind\, there is also a SHORT GREEN Course.\n\

 egistration is also a safe place for lost children to wait.\n\nPlease do n
 ot come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and carry any medi
 cation you might need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come
  across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further help
 . There will likely be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop t
 o provide support.\n\nAll participants must return to download\, whether t
 hey complete the course or not. This is to account for all competitors\, e
 nsuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and controls colle
 cted in at 3pm sharp. If you are still out on the course at this time retu
 rn to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nFull body co
 ver is mandatory.\n\nA whistle (emergency alert is 6 loud blasts per minut
 e) is mandatory.\n\nA waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organ
 isers decide the weather requires one\, so bring one along just in case.\n
