SUMMARY:Middle Distance Training - Hillsborough Forest
DESCRIPTION:In preparation for the British Middle Distance Championships\, 
 LVO are offering Middle Distance training runs at Hillsborough Forest in t
 he late afternoon/early evening of Friday 5 May. Start at anytime between 
 16:00 and 19:00. Start times are not allocated\, just turn up and go to th
 e start.\n\nNote that the courses on offer will be the same courses for LV
 O's Spring Cup event on Saturday 15 March. Courses on offer are Short Blue
 \, Short Green\, Orange and Yellow. Controls will be SIAir+ enabled and d
 ownload splits will be available.\n\n💛YELLOW – 1.9km climb / 15m – 
 for younger children &amp\; family groups\, as well as more cautious new a
 dults\n\n🧡ORANGE – 2.6km / 30m – for children &amp\; family groups 
 moving on from yellow\, as well as more adventurous new adults\n\n💚SHOR
 T GREEN – 3km / 45m – difficult orienteering\, though not as physicall
 y demanding as the biggest course. Generally for experienced orienteers\, 
 though a VERY adventurous new adult might give this a bash.\n\n💙SHORT B
 LUE – 4.5km / 65m – difficult orienteering\, our most challenging cour
 se on offer/ Tracks/paths/rides will be on the map\, unlike at the 15 Apri
 l Spring Cup event. However there are some maps available with no tracks/p
 aths/rides marked. Hillsborough is mostly a white runnable forest\, with s
 mall hills and with areas of contour detail.\n\nClothing &amp\; Safety:\n\
 nFull length leg cover is very strongly advised. Please return to download
  at the Village Centre after finishing\, even if you do not complete the c

 \,  so we will be using the car park at the Hillsborough Village Centre a
 t Downshire School\, 7 Ballynahinch Rd\, Hillsborough BT26 6AR but NOT th
 e forest car park. Registration and download will be in the car park.\n\nU
 lsterbus express service 238 may also be used from Belfast Europa Buscentr
 e. The walk from the bus stop at the war memorial to the carpark is only 3

 rt walk along the main road to access the side gate into the forest\, plea
 se stay on the footpath available on the left of the road and be careful c
 rossing the road to the gate.  Once in the forest there is 5 minute walk 
 to the start. The finish is near the gate\, please return to the car park 
 for download.\n\nToilets:\n\nHRP is responsible for toilet facilities at t
 he Fort and Courthouse which are closed at the moment. However\, the toile
 ts at Main Street car park and the forest play area in the park will be op
 en.\n\nRefreshments:\n\nHillsborough village has a number of good cafes\, 
 hot food outlets and pubs. Please move your car out of the carpark after y
 our run if remaining in the village to eat.\n\nEntries:\n\nEntry fees are 
 as per the club event:\nSenior (aged 21 or over) £7 (£9 non BO/OI/IOF me
 mber)\nJunior or Student £3 (£4 on BO/OI/IOF member)\nMaximum charge for
  a family  £17 (£22 non BO/OI/IOF member)\n\nPartitation in the activit
 y is by pre-entry only.\n\nEntries are open at Si Entries. Entries close 2
 3:00 1st May. Refunds self-service minus £2 up til that date.\n\n
