SUMMARY:MAPRUN training - East Belfast
DESCRIPTION:To interweave with the WENT events\, we are putting on some Wed
 nesday Evening training activities using some classic Map Runs that can ke
 ep us going through the winter nights and still be open to all comers.\n\n
 The first event is in East Belfast.\nMeeting at  Tim Horton's at Connswat
 er Shopping Centre\, Belfast\, BT5 5DL at 7:10pm to jog out to the start l
 ocation for 7:30pm start.\nIf you have been Sporteering pre-covid you will
  know the drill\, but remember your hi-viz and headtorch. If you haven't b
 een before please do come and read on for the details.\nThis is urban scor
 e orienteering. 45 minute time limit\, with 10 points lost per minute late
 . All controls are worth between 10 points. There is no flag nor SI unit a
 t the control location. You verify visiting the control site with the Mapr
 un6 app.\nPre printed maps provided.\nSo what do you need to bring and kno
 w?\n\n\n 	An iPhone or Android mobile phone with a location function.\n 	T
 he "Maprun6" app already downloaded\n 	Hi viz highly recommended.\n 	An ar
 mband to carry your phone is recommended.\n 	Under 16s must be accompanied
  by an adult.\n 	A headtorch with charged batteries.\n 	A control descript
 ion holder if you want to use loose descriptions.\n 	Phone fully charged.\
 n 	The location function turned on.\n 	Unnecessary apps closed. (This will
  probably speed up the location function).\n 	Display setting set to alway
 s on.\n 	Obey the Highway Code at all times.\n 	£2 for members\, £4 for
