SUMMARY:LVO Club Score Champs
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nFixture Format\n⏰ A score event is different to a norma
 l cross country orienteering event in that\, there are a number of control
 s which you can visit in any order you wish within a set time. Controls ma
 y be worth different values and it is very unlikely that you will be able 
 to visit them all. So\, you will need to plan your best route to get back 
 before the set time. Lateness back will bring point penalties.\n\nIf you a
 re fairly new to orienteering\, don’t let the sound of club championship
  put you off – there are different courses to choose from and you are we
 lcome to run round as a pair or family/friendship group (although to be de
 emed competitive you need to enter as an individual).\n\nAnyone can enter 
 and enjoy a run but only current LVO members can be classified as eligible
 /competitive for the title of Club Score Champion. Note: membership renewa

 ces.\n\n\nCourses\nTBC\n\n1️⃣ Young Junior Course 1 is suitable for Pr
 imary School Children – courses stick close to paths\, and the use of a 
 compass is not necessary (technical difficulty 2). This is the MW8/10 Cham
 pionship course and has a time limit of 30 minutes.\n\n2️⃣ Junior/Novi
 ce Senior Course 2 is suitable for improving Juniors and novice adults –
  the ability to use compass and navigate away from paths is needed (techni
 cal difficulty 3/4). This is the MW12/14 Championship Course and also has 
 a time limit of 45 minutes.\n\n3️⃣ Senior Course 3 is suitable for com
 petent orienteers (technical difficulty 4/5). Some controls will be placed
  far away and in physically and technically challenging terrain. This is t
 he Senior Championship course for MW16s and over only. This course has a t
 ime limit of 60 minutes.\n\nTime penalties – for every minute/part minut
 e you are late you will be deducted 10 points on Course 1 and 20 points fo

 p and courses can be found here.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTerrain Summary\n\n\n\nFirst
  Aid and Safety\nThere will be first aid and a qualified first aider avail
 able at registration. If you come across an injured or ill person\, please
  stop\, help and get further help. There will likely be qualified first ai
 ders on the course who can stop to provide support. Please do not come to 
 the event if you are unwell. Please bring and carry any medication you mig
 ht need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nPlease take a note of the
  course closure time. If you are still out on the course at this time retu
 rn to finish and download immediately. All participants must return to dow
 nload\, whether they complete the course or not. This is to account for al
 l competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nRegistration is a sa
 fe place for lost children to wait.\n\n\nKit requirements\n\n\n 	Full body
  cover is optional | advised | mandatory.\n 	A whistle is mandatory (emerg
 ency alert is 6 loud blasts per minute).\n 	A waterproof jacket may also b
 e mandatory if the organisers decide the weather requires one\, so bring o
 ne along.\n\n\n\n\nParking\nCar parking at the Belvoir Activity Centre. Ov
 erflow at BB Sports field pavilion car park – as you leave the Activity 
 centre take a left and it is the second road on your left before the main 
 entrance to the Park.  It is just a 3 minute walk from the BB car park ba
 ck down to the Activity centre\, passing the 3G pitch and Forestside Churc
