DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nDate\nSaturday 24 January 2026\n\n\nVenue\nStormont Estat
 e\n\n\nEvent Format\nClub Score Championship\n\nAnyone can enter and enjoy
  a run but only current LVO members can be classified as eligible/competit
 ive for the title of Club Score Champion. Note: membership renewal was due
  on the 1st January!\n\nIf you are fairly new to orienteering\, don’t le
 t the sound of club championship put you off – there are 3 different cou
 rses to choose from and you are welcome to run round as a pair or family/f
 riendship group (although to be deemed competitive you need to enter as an
  individual).\n\n⏰ A score event is different to a normal cross country 
 orienteering event in that\, there are a number of controls which you can 
 visit in any order you wish within a set time. Controls may be worth diffe
 rent values and it is very unlikely that you will be able to visit them al
 l. So\, you will need to plan your best route to get back before the set t
 ime. Lateness back will bring point penalties.\n\n\nOnline Entry\n.\n\n\nS

 \n\nRegistration\, Start and Finish\nCivil service car park where a gazebo
  will be erected.\n\nRegistration open from 11:15 – 11:55am. You can col
 lect hired dibbers\, make changes to your dibber numbers and enter on the 
 day (subject to the limited number of available maps below).\n\nThere will
  be an event briefing for everyone in the car park at 11:55am sharp with a
  mass start for each course\, at 11:58\, 12:00 and 12:02 respectively.\n\n

 **A family charge is for two seniors and one junior. Additional juniors go
  free.\nPlease note: Participants who are not members of British Orienteer
 ing or of another orienteering federation are not covered by British Orien
 teering’s public liability insurance. You are welcome to enter this even
 t\, but please understand that you are taking part at your own risk. For e
 xample\, if you were to accidentally injure a member of the public or dama
 ge property during the event\, you would not be covered. Members of Orient
 eering Ireland are covered by British Orienteering insurance. \n\n\n\nTer

 total of 800 points\n\n1️⃣ Young Junior Course 1 is suitable for Prima
 ry School Children – courses stick close to paths\, and the use of a com
 pass is not necessary (technical difficulty 2). This is the MW8/10 Champio
 nship course and has a time limit of 30 minutes. All competitors on this c
 ourse will start at 11:58.\n\n2️⃣ Junior/Novice Senior Course 2 is sui
 table for improving Juniors and novice adults – the ability to use compa
 ss and navigate away from paths is needed (technical difficulty 3/4). This
  is the MW12/14 Championship Course and also has a time limit of 45 minute
 s. All competitors on this course will start at 12:00.\n\n3️⃣ Senior C
 ourse 3 is suitable for competent orienteers (technical difficulty 4/5). S
 ome controls will be placed far away and in physically and technically cha
 llenging terrain. This is the Senior Championship course for MW16s and ove
 r only. This course has a time limit of 60 minutes. All competitors on thi
 s course will start at 12:02.\n\nTime penalties – for every minute/part 
 minute you are late you will be deducted 10 points.\n\nEdible prizes will 
 be as follows: First M and W 14 and under\; First M and W 18 and under\; 
 First M and W Open\; First M and W Vet (45+)\; First M and W Super Vet (5
 5+)\; First M and W Ultra Vet (65+). And copious amounts of chocolate priz
 es for young juniors.\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safety\nThere will be a first aid
  and a qualified first aider available at registration. Registration is al
 so a safe place for lost children to wait.\n\nPlease do not come to the ev
 ent if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring and carry any medication you might 
 need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen’s.\n\nIf you come across an injure
 d or ill person\, please stop\, help and get further help. There will like
 ly be qualified first aiders on the course who can stop to provide support
 .\n\nAll participants must return to download\, whether they complete the 
 course or not. This is to account for all competitors\, ensuring everyone
 ’s safe return.\n\nCourses will close and controls collected in at 13:05
 pm sharp. If you are still out on the course at this time return to finish
  and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requirements\nFull leg cover is recomm
 ended.\n\nA whistle (emergency alert is 6 loud blasts per minute) is manda
 tory.\n\nA waterproof jacket may also be mandatory if the organisers decid
 e the weather requires one\, so bring one along just in case.\n\n\nParking
 \nApproach from Massey Avenue and route to the event carpark will be flagg
 ed with kites within the estate. Note that this is a different car park an
 d entrance than used for the WEE events in recent years.\n\n\nToilets\nPub
