 the difference. Parents accompanying children go free.\n\nPlease note: Par
 ticipants who are not members of British Orienteering or of another orient
 eering federation are not covered by British Orienteering’s public liabi
 lity insurance. You are welcome to enter this event\, but please understan
 d that you are taking part at your own risk. For example\, if you were to 
 accidentally injure a member of the public or damage property during the e
 vent\, you would not be covered. Members of Orienteering Ireland are cover
 ed by British Orienteering insurance. \n\n\nTerrain Summary\nThe forest i
 s in good shape but some areas of undergrowth have not yet died down. Much
  of the pine forest is open for fast running\, although care should be tak
 en running over the exposed tree roots\, especially on paths if there has 
 been any rain. The worst of the undergrowth has been added as a green scre
 en on the map and courses planned to permit straight red line running\, bu
 t competitors are urged to look up and ahead in case of unexpected blockag

 – km + m climb – along paths with more route choice decisions. Appropr
 iate for newcomers and younger juniors with some experience.\n🟠 Orange 
 – km + m climb – skills needed to navigate away from paths and more ro
 ute choice decisions\, some compass skills are expected. Aimed at novice a
 dults and improving juniors.\n🟢 Short Green – km + m climb – techni
 cally demanding but less physical course.\n🔵 Short Blue – km + m clim
 b – technically and physically demanding course.\n\n\nFirst Aid and Safe
 ty\nWatch out for other park users\, including dog walkers\, bikers and go
 lfers.\n\nThere will be a first aid and a qualified first aider available 
 at registration. Registration is also a safe place for lost children to wa
 it.\n\nPlease do not come to the event if you are unwell.\n\nPlease bring 
 and carry any medication you might need\, especially inhalers and EpiPen
 ’s.\n\nIf you come across an injured or ill person\, please stop\, help 
 and get further help. There will likely be qualified first aiders on the c
 ourse who can stop to provide support.\n\nAll participants must return to 
 download\, whether they complete the course or not. This is to account for
  all competitors\, ensuring everyone’s safe return.\n\nCourses will clos
 e and controls collected in at 3pm sharp. If you are still out on the cour
 se at this time return to finish and download immediately.\n\n\nKit requir
 ements\nFull body cover is mandatory.\n\nA whistle (emergency alert is 6 l
 oud blasts per minute) is mandatory.\n\nA waterproof jacket may also be ma
 ndatory if the organisers decide the weather requires one\, so bring one a
 long just in case.\n\n\nParking\nPlease do not arrive before 11am - The ov
 erflow car park at Beechlawn School is not available due to ongoing renova
 tions\, so the main car park will be very busy in the morning with ParkRun
  participants.\n\n\nToilets\nHRP is responsible for toilet facilities at t
 he Fort and Courthouse and have them shut at the moment. However\, the toi
 lets at Main Street car park and the forest play area in the park will be 
 open.\n\n\n
