 e\, more confident\, and find friends to run about with in forests and up 
 mountains? Would like to learn a new outdoor sport that all the family can
  take part in?\n\nTaking place on the last Sunday of the month\, LVO invit
 es you to Running Wild\, a chance for like-minded families to learn about 
 orienteering together and find out about how to get involved in our exciti
 ng club and sport.\n\nSessions are for children in Primary 4 and above. If
  children are younger\, please get in contact with us (email chair@lvo.org
 .uk) to find out other exciting orienteering opportunities for them.\n\nAl
 l children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the coachin
 g\, up to a maximum of four children per adult. This is not a drop-off ser
 vice! Separate adult coaching is possible\, depending on demand.\n\n\nEntr

 idnight\, Tuesday 22 October 2024\n\n\nStart Times\nArrive 10.45am for reg
 istration. Coaching takes place 11am to 12am\, with a chance to catch up w
 ith coaches and friends over tea/coffee/squash until 12.30pm.\n\n\nPrice\n
 💰 Training is free for members of LVO\, NIOA and Orienteering Ireland.\
 n\n💰 Non-members are also welcome to attend any of our activities and e
 vents\, but there is a £3 fee per child for this activity\, up to a max o
 f £10 per family. After attending three orienteering events\, people must
  join a club so they are insured.  From 1 September 2024\, new members pa
 y only £4 for juniors (up to 20 years old)\, £8 for young adults (up to 
 £25)\, £10 for seniors and £20 for families (2 seniors + 1 or more juni

 membership and get two months for free.\n\n\nTerrain Summary\nTollymore fo
 rest is a great place to discover the sport of orienteering. It has a netw
 ork of paths and tracks to help navigate\, as well as runnable forest with
  a variety of features. The forest is popular with hikers\, runners\, dog 
 walkers\, horse riders and mountain bikers\, so take care and treat others

 👦 Groups will be organised into children with the same level of oriente
 ering ability\, each having a dedicated coach.\n\n👨‍👩‍👧‍
 👦 A separate beginner adult group will be coached\, depending on demand
 .\n\n\nKit requirements\n🧥👖 Full body cover is mandatory. If the wea
 ther is cold or wet – a waterproof jacket will be mandatory. As well as 
 times of exercise there will be periods of coaching when you will be stati
 onary\, so layer up – bring along a hat and gloves to keep comfortable. 
 There is likely to be a bag drop off point with a coach present or close b
 y. NOTE: the club or coach is not responsible for the safe keeping of the 
 kit\, it is dropped off at your own risk\, so please leave any valuables i
 n the car. All should carry whistles. Bring a compass if you use and have 
 one. Some base plate and thumb compasses will be available to borrow and t
