 \, more confident\, and find friends to run about with in forests and up m
 ountains? Would like to learn a new outdoor sport that all the family can 
 take part in?\n\nTaking place on the last Sunday of the month\, LVO invite
 s you to Running Wild\, a chance for like-minded families to learn about o
 rienteering together and find out about how to get involved in our excitin
 g club and sport.\n\nSessions are for children in Primary 4 and above. If 
 children are younger\, please get in contact with us (email juniors_famili
 es@lvo.org.uk) to find out other exciting orienteering opportunities for t
 hem.\n\nAll children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of t
 he coaching\, up to a maximum of four children per adult. This is not a dr
 op-off service.\n\n\nEntry/Registration\nRegister via this ONLINE FORM\n\n
 \nRegistration closes\nMidnight\, Tuesday 21 October  2025\n\n\nStart Tim
 es\nArrive 10.45am for registration. Coaching takes place 11am to 12pm\, w
 ith a chance to catch up with coaches and friends over tea/coffee/squash u
 ntil 12.30pm.\n\n\nPrice\n💰 Training is free for members of LVO\, NIOA 
 and Orienteering Ireland.\n\n💰 Non-members are also welcome to attend a
 ny of our activities and events\, but there is a £3 fee per child for thi
 s activity\, up to a max of £10 per family. After attending three oriente
 ering events\, people must join a club so they are insured. For 2025 membe
 rship\, JOIN HERE via the British Orienteering website\, selecting LVO as 
 your club.\n\n\nTerrain Summary\nTollymore forest is a great place to disc
 over the sport of orienteering. It has a network of paths and tracks to he
 lp navigate\, as well as runnable forest with a variety of features. The f
 orest is popular with hikers\, runners\, dog walkers\, horse riders and mo
 untain bikers\, so take care and treat others with courtesy.\n\n\nPrevious

 80\n\n\nNotes/Courses\n👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Groups will be organised 
 into children with the same level of technical ability\, each having a ded
 icated coach.\n\n\nKit requirements\n🧥👖 Full body cover is mandatory
 . If the weather is cold or wet – a waterproof jacket will be mandatory.
  As well as times of exercise there will be periods of coaching when you w
 ill be stationary\, so layer up – bring along an extra jumper\, a hat an
 d gloves to keep comfortable. There is likely to be a bag drop off point w
 ith a coach present or close by. NOTE: the club or coach is not responsibl
 e for the safe keeping of the kit\, it is dropped off at your own risk\, s
 o please leave any valuables in the car. All should carry whistles.\n\n\nP
