 e\, more confident\, and find friends to run about with in forests and up 
 mountains? Would like to learn a new outdoor sport that all the family can
  take part in?\n\nTaking place on the last Sunday of the month\, LVO invit
 es you to Running Wild\, a chance for like-minded families to learn about 
 orienteering together and find out about how to get involved in our exciti
 ng club and sport.\n\nSessions are for children in Primary 4 and above. If
  children are younger\, please get in contact with us (email juniors_famil
 ies@lvo.org.uk) to find out other exciting orienteering opportunities for 
 them.\n\nAll children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of 
 the coaching\, up to a maximum of four children per adult. This is not a d
 rop-off service.\n\n\nEntry/Registration\nRegister via this ONLINE FORM.\n
 \n\nRegistration closes\nMidnight\, Wednesday 26 November 2025\n\n\nStart 
 Times\nArrive 10.55am for registration. Coaching takes place 11am to 12pm\
 , with a chance to catch up with coaches and friends over tea/coffee/squas
 h until 12.30pm.\n\n\nPrice\n💰 Training is free for members of LVO\, NI
 OA and Orienteering Ireland.\n\n💰 Non-members are also welcome to atten
 d any of our activities and events\, but there is a £3 fee per child for 
 this activity\, up to a max of £10 per family. After attending three orie
 nteering events\, people must join a club so they are insured. For 2025 me
 mbership\, JOIN HERE via the British Orienteering website\, selecting LVO 
 as your club.\n\n\nTerrain Summary\nTollymore forest is a great place to d
 iscover the sport of orienteering. It has a network of paths and tracks to
  help navigate\, as well as runnable forest with a variety of features. Th
 e forest is popular with hikers\, runners\, dog walkers\, horse riders and
  mountain bikers\, so take care and treat others with courtesy.\n\n\nPrevi

 ed into children with the same level of technical ability\, each having a 
 dedicated coach.\n\n\nKit requirements\n🧥👖 Full body cover is mandat
 ory. If the weather is cold or wet – a waterproof jacket will be mandato
 ry. As well as times of exercise there will be periods of coaching when yo
 u will be stationary\, so layer up – bring along an extra jumper\, a hat
  and gloves to keep comfortable. There is likely to be a bag drop off poin
 t with a coach present or close by. NOTE: the club or coach is not respons
 ible for the safe keeping of the kit\, it is dropped off at your own risk\
 , so please leave any valuables in the car. All should carry whistles.\n\n
